High Quality Applaws Dried Cat Food Product
Superb value Applaws dried cat food product. Had purchased this item before and other flavoured Applaws dried food. All the Cats love it. Good quality dried food product with protein, vegetables and fibre. As a result of providing this food, all the Cats go regularly on a daily basis, regarding their No2s etc. Thus you can easily tell it's really good for their digestive systems, making then all regular on a daily basis with no issues. A highly Recommended product.

If only I'd realised sooner.
I have two cats, one a big fat hairy Maine Coon and the other a dainty little Bengal girl. I had been feeding my Coon the breed-specific Royal Canin food for years (as that's what the breeder had recommended, and I assumed she would know best) and then started on Arden Grange kitten food with my Bengal when I got her just a year and half ago. They both free-fed on dry food with some fresh cooked chicken breast as a treat a couple of times a day.I should point out that my Coon is a grumpy boy, doesn't like much petting (and lets you know with teeth) and was always especially sensitive about being touched anywhere around his rear haunches, which I could never groom properly because he wouldn't let me near him. I used to have to wait for him to fall asleep and try to chop out the matted bits...How is this relevant? OK. My dainty little Bengal decided she didn't want Arden Grange - she wanted the big giant Maine Coon biscuits that barely fit in her mouth. I was worried about her choking on one so I decided it was time for a change. I read a lot online (for the first time) about cat nutrition, decided that what I had been feeding them was actually quite bad and I should feed bad, and decided to try Applaws as it was the highest meat content dry food I could find.It took them a while to get used to it, but holy jebus did I notice a difference. My Coon in particular went from having what I thought was normal slightly coarse fur to silky soft fur that I could actually groom properly. I did a big exercise getting his mats out and now he has a fantastic coat that he can mostly keep unmatted by himself, and is even friendlier now that the sore matty bits are gone. He wants more pets and attention and noticeably takes better care of his coat. He gets less angry at the other cat (I guess now that she's not jumping on the bits he didn't like getting touched) and has become much more mellow. My little Bengal always took great care of her coat but it developed an even better shine and softness. Now that I actually know something about cat nutrition and have seen the effects of proper nutrition for a while (OK really if you wanted to do it properly you'd feed them fresh raw meat all the time, but in terms of what is achievable vis a vis store-bought dry food), I can say with confidence that a high meat content, no grain food is a must, and Applaws is going to be the food of choice from hereon in.

My cats love this dry food!
I bought a smaller bag of this dry cat food to see if my cats would like it as I believe it's good to give them a variety of cat food to prevent fussiness, etc. Both my cats loved the taste and I will start buying the bigger bags regularly. The only gripe I have is that the individual biscuits are quite small (smaller than IAMS, Purina, etc) and our large Maine Coon doesn't need to chew them much before swallowing, which isn't optimal for teeth cleaning. This would make a wonderful dry food for a small cat or kitten.

Good quality and good price
My cats have always been on Meowing heads dry food chicken with salmon, I was looking for a cheaper alternative as their prices are very steep and found this. Very similar ingredients, no nasty stuff. Still weaning them onto it by mixing this with their old food, but they are enjoying it just the same and are happy and healthy

Good brand but flavour doesn’t suit our cat
Bought this on one occasion as we thought the salmon would be a healthy treat for our cat. Unfortunately, despite him eating it, there was a definite change in his metabolism and dealing with his litter tray was hellish!! We reverted back to the just chicken flavour.

My finicky cats love it!
My two finicky Maine Coon cats love this food. It’s their favourite and is far better quality than most of the others. Pricey but worth it and better value for money than Iams and Royal Canin.

DO NOT BUY!!! CAUSED MY NON - SENSITIVE CAT SEVERE SKIN ALLERGIES/ITCHING!!!
If I could give 0 stars I would. My cat loves the complementary wet food so to make it complete I would try the dry food as it has high % meat and good quality ingredients..... (I thought!)After a while I noticed my cat itching and assumed it was because it's summer time he is an outdoor cat and roams around all types of different plants or maybe he needed his flea treatment (even though I do it regularly).Anyway, it got worse and worse to the point where he was pulling out his fur and one day I noticed he had gone completely bald the back of his hind legs and had a bald spot on base of his tail!! He has NEVER had sensitivities or allergies to anything before so again I just put it down to the outside!!I tried different sprays for his skin thinking it was just 'dryness' until I started reading reviews about this food on ZooPlus and there were SO MANY stating how their cat had developed skin allergies and started pulling out their fur after eating this food!!!Apparently it's due to it containing CITRIC ACID....Anyway, I stopped feeding my cat this food instantly and put him onto Scumbles after thoroughly reading the ingredients and reviews....And just like that, a few weeks later the severe itching had stopped, not once has he pulled out his fur and now a couple months later I am so pleased to say that his fur has regrown on his underneath and base of tail :)Crazy how just one ingredient can cause such a problem!! Don't risk it!!
