Simple and effective lighting upgrade.
Great for both macro and portrait photography with the Tough range of Olympus cameras. Very easy to lock on and remove, provides even lighting even in extreme closeup macro mode, a significant improvement over the built-in LED alone.

Great addition for my tg7 at the price I paid.
Great addition for my tg7. Works as expected for macro use as fill in light. You do have to get close to the subject for it to work at its best. Overpriced for what it is at full price, took a chance on a used refurbished one at half the price, which looked unused apart from the damaged box so I assume it was just a return rather than a faulty item, not that there is much to go faulty on it.It’s easy to fit to camera, don’t forget to switch the flash off and switch the camera led on as this is the source for the light guide to work. This is not a ring flash, more a fill in light to reduce shadows and give a more even light over the subject when using camera in macro mode..

Awesome gadget for illuminating close-ups. The Olympus tg series which it is designed for have a powerful macro function and this serves to direct the flash light into a ring around a close-up subject. It fits directly onto the camera. The light is even and soft and opens up possibilities for an already versatile piece of quality kit. The photo is of a 12mm high toadstool taken using the Olympus Light Guide on an Olympus TG4.

The real deal
This unit is dedicated to the TG series and maintains the waterproof aspects of the camera. Good for macro and can be used underwater too.

Handy to have.
Very easy to fit to the TG-6. Does what it's supposed to , provide a little extra illumination when using macro mode for extreme closeups, eliminating the shadow of the camera. It is not self powered, and relies on the camera LED to provide the illumination, so don't expect floods of light.

Seemed a good quality accessory, but, as I returned the camera, I didn’t have the opportunity to test it.
