Braun Razor Foils
What is there to say about an electric razor foil and cutter? I ordered two because it seems replacement foils/cutters for my model may be, or soon will be, obsolete and they arrived quickly and in Braun official packaging. Having opened and install one set, they seem to do their job admirably and certainly better than the ones which they replace. However, the 'old' ones had seen only just 12 months service which I thought to be poor, especially as Braun recommend replacing foils and cutters at about eighteen months. In fact, the performance and durability of the 'old' set, which were noisy too, was so poor from new that I had a sneaky feeling they may have been either generic or even counterfeit even though they were supplied in what appeared to be genuine Braun packaging. But who can know these days what is genuine and what has been faked?In short, the new set is certainly doing its job well and superior and quieter than that of the old set. As for the second new set I bought, I cannot comment as those remain as supplied sealed in their blister packaging.Just one final point, I have taken to rinsing in hot water the cutter/foil after each shave rather than just a dry clean and also I now lubricate them before each shave, something that I rarely did previously, so may be that is contributing to the improved performance

Buy this and feel like you've been cheated too
This item as advertised as a cutter and a foil, when it arrives it will just be the foil, Amazon claim the item is worth £24.99 and that they are selling it for £6.51. When I complained, I was promised a replacement that would contain the foil and the cutter, they said it would be checked before dispatch to ensure it was correct. I wasn't really surprised when the replacement arrived and it was again just the foil and not the cutter. Phoned to complain again, now Amazon will not send a replacement, just a refund and a suggestion that I could order from a third party seller on Amazon and only for the princely sum of £30, more that 4 times the original price.I fell cheated and let down, it appears to me that Amazon are deliberately falsely advertising this product, the price seems to be wrong, the description is wrong, the pictures are wrong, the so called savings are wrong but for only 4 times the advertised price they will sell you what you wanted

Fitted my Braun Series 3 390 cc but then on the back of the shaver it did say Use Parts 31S so you'd hope it would. Shape and size same as original and perfect replacement, foil and cutter design slightly different from the original, no doubt things change over the years. Shaving performance much improved but then my old foil had holes in it which did make shaving a bit painful.If you've never replaced your foil and cutter would recommend it as you don't realise just how poor things were until you fit new ones and get a smooth chin back.

Braun 31S Foil and Cutter replacement pack
The recommended replacement period is 18 months - but after 3 years my Braun was not giving me the shave I wanted. After replacing the foil and cutter with the 31S Combi Pack it is shaving as good as new. If your foil is passed its 'change-by' date, I can recommend this replacement. A close shave
I have had my Braun Contour shaver for about three years and the foil developed a hole. I subsequently purchased a Panasonic shaver, but this never gave such a good shave and the battery would only last for about three shaves. I bit the bullet and purchased the replacement foil and cutter combi pack. I was delivered within two days and it has transformed my Braun into a near new shaver. Braun does recommend you should change the foil and cutter after 18 months, I will do this in future. Highly recommended and it was a t a good price too.
