Wonderful product. Flexible but strong. Fixes almost anything!
I am a very keen DIY repairer of all sorts of household items. Have used this fantastic glue to reattach soles to three pairs of expensive trainers; to repair and improve the strength and longevity of the grass collection box of my lawnmower (saving £90); replacing and reinforcing the canvas like material that supports the seat cushions on a twin outside patio swing chair; repairing and reassembling the broken hard plastic control panel of a twenty year old Bosch dishwasher, and extending its working life by four years;A simply brilliant product!

Incredible product
I wish I had discovered this Goo a long time ago. It would have enabled me to keep my sports shoes for so much longer. The product is very easy to use. Just follow the instructions. It is best to use it as soon as a little hole appears in the sole of your shoe, for example, to prevent it from growing any larger. However, I tried the Goo on an old pair of sports shoes (Nike) that had a large hole in them, probably as large as a quarter of an inch in circumference. As an experiment, I filled the hole and left the shoe to dry for 24 hours. I then tried the shoes, walking for approximately five miles (I like walking!). The Goo not only filled the hole perfectly but it didn't budge when I wore them. I have worn the same shoes several times since, over varying distances (5-7 miles, approximately). The shoes are perfect. I am amazed that a product like this exists. Just take care to follow the instructions and make sure that your finish is very smooth. Thank you for this lovely product.

Strong, flexible and versatile
To be honest we've never actually used Shoe Goo on shoes. We wanted an adhesive that was strong enough to hold something together but not stuck so fast that we couldn't remove it. My most recent application of it was to stick together two pieces of plastic beading that I anticipated I might need to remove without too much effort at a later date. The "goo" is strong and flexible and as you'd expect, a lot like a goo! It adheres well but may need a little weight applied to it initially while it sets which I suppose is as should be expected. The end of the tube is a little hard to keep clean and it does seem to have a definite expiry date to it but otherwise it's a great product and I can see it working very well on shoes for both the soles and the upper.

A glue that actually works!
My past experience with glue has had two outcomes. If it’s super glue, my fingers end up stuck together and stuck to the thing I’m trying to repair. If it’s any other type of glue there are stringy strands of glue all over the place, including on me and my clothes and the thing trying to be repaired stays stubbornly broken.I’d reached the point of giving up on being conned by manufacturer’s claims. But my daughter has a much beloved pair of Converse trainers that the heels of the sole had broken away from and fatefully asked dad to repair them. With little hope of success I searched the internet and came across Shoe Goo. I think it was the name that persuaded me to give glue one last try. I’m so glad I did. It’s available in all sorts of sizes and prices so if you’re looking on a certain auction site or elsewhere be careful to check what sized pack you’re going to get, because some of them are very small. This came out as the best bargain of glue per pound, though prices are always changing so search around a little. This is a big tube and will repair several pairs of shoes. It’s a rather thick glue, hence the name ‘goo’ I guess, so it comes out of the tube slowly, and it needs you to set aside the shoes for at least a day before trying to wear them after the repair but it really does work so well that I think it must be something like the glue they use to originally make the shoes. If like me you’ve given up on glues and you’ve a pair of loved shoes that need some TLC, give this stuff a go and you might just be pleasantly surprised.

Repair the unrepairable... Really!
Bought this to repair a really worn cracked pair of shoes that my mum can't bear to part with. The moulded soles are not the sort a cobbler can replace or patch up so Shoe Goo was my last resort. The tubes arrived in a flash and I must say it's a positive thing to have the quantity in 2 tubes rather than a single large one, as all adhesives get quite tacky if opened, used then reopened months later. This way you're dealing with a nice manageable sized dispenser and it'll keep 'fresh' longer too. The seller considerately encloses 2 spare nozzles, a spatula and gloves which more than makes up for there not being a cardboard package. Basic instructions on the tube are easily augmented by checking the vast array of Youtube guides. I found lots of really great videos there to show how to use Shoe Goo for a variety of different projects. It's nowhere near as smelly or difficult to handle as I imagined after reading some reviews, although the videos and helpful hints like 'pop a little vaseline around the tube opening before using to prevent it seizing closed when you screw the top on'... I've successfully managed to repair two cracks across the soles of mum's favourite shoes and for very little outlay or effort. I was able to spread the Goo with the spatula to mimic the existing tread on the shoes so was happy enough with the look I achieved and like a lot of the Youtube vloggers suggest, used lots to cover the area liberally, which has given a secure flexible bond. Spreading a decent pound coin sized blob of Shoe Goo into the cracks and over some worn areas actually reinforced the sole nicely and strengthened the repair.I'd heartily recommend trying Shoe Goo and particularly appreciated the great price and service I received from this Amazon seller. Off to find some more projects now that I've discovered it's actually possible to repair such clapped out shoes...
