It should work with any sound recorder app. Just make sure the correct input is selected when recording.

You usually will not get a monitoring capability with these cheaper, smaller microphones. It is simply for recording audio on the go. Don't expect the type of quality you get from a high level Studio setup. For that you should always use professional equipment. You can always hear a play back of the recording you did and re-recorded if you're not happy with the result. However, with the right app and a decent headset that you attach to your phone, it might work, provided your phone has the technology capable of doing this.
