Great Hood, Great Price, Great Customer Service
We bought this range hood for our rental unit because we had problems with cooking smells lingering. We picked this because of the CFM rating, PRICE, easy cleaning, and appearance.Installation:Installation was straightforward and as basic as any other range hood. This was hung under a short kitchen cabinet which had a 3/4 inch empty space up to the cabinet floor. I added a 3/4 inch strip of wood under each side of the cabinet to bring the mounting surface flush with the cabinet face.Performance:The range hood sucks hard. It lives up to the CFM ratings. The noise is comparable to the level of suction. It is quieter than my expensive 1000 CFM hood in my house. It is louder than the 325 CFM hood that was there before. The stainless steel filters are easy to remove and reinstall for cleaning unlike my home hood where each time it is a puzzle and fight with extra spacer bars.Customer service:When it arrived, the two stainless steel filters were warped from shipping damage. Customer service immediately shipped us replacement filters. Came in a couple days. Boom, no hassle, no arguments. We inquired about buying a replacement remote in the future in case a tenant loses it. They sent another remote on their dime. Came in a couple days. Boom, no hassle, no arguments. We are satisfied buyers.

Updated review - great hood vent
********Update: *******Figured out the light. You hold the button down and it will dim the light so that was user error on my end.Additionally, the seller did reach out to address my other concerns to my satisfaction. For the seller to reach out directly says a lot about the seller and they stand behind their product. The unit has been working great since we installed the unit. The suction power on this unit is amazing we have only had to use it at full power once due to a spill over in the oven at full power this unit cleared things up quickly. We are very pleased with the purchase.**********************************************There is not and option to hard wire this unit. I had to install an outlet in the cabinet which was not a big deal, but the power cord for the unit is in the right front corner so you have to put a pretty big hole in the cabinet right close to the face frame of the cabinet. Would be better if the power cord was closer to the back and closer to the middle of the unit.Additionally. The one one I ordered clearly states it black stainless steel with glass. It is not a black stainless on the sides it is just normal stainless steel. The unit does look nice after installed expected the sides don’t match my black stainless steel range.Others are reporting that it is loud, I don’t think it is to loud especially with the 2 big fans on it. I don’t think most people would be using at more than settings 1 or 2 unless they burn something and really need to get alot of smoke out of the kitchen. The description states the lighting is adjuster but I am unable to figure out how that works I only have one or off does not appear to be adjustable. If something changes I’ll update this review but this is my initial findings after installing today

Powerful vent, clean looking, unreliable hand control
Update February 2025 - I reached out to the support and they are sending a replacement part for the hand control sensor. My previous attempts for help were blocked by email my filtering, but got a response after I used their website support submission form. So I’ll update my rating for good support7 month update (November 2024):I’m dropping my rating to 3 stars because the unit functions, but still has problems. And I wouldn’t recommend this stove vent.- had to replace an LED light that was flickering upon delivery, the replacement part was provided by the seller. I discovered that the light plugs had bad wiring. Fortunately, the light replacement didn’t require removing the unit or I probably would’ve returned it. I was able to fix the second light myself, but it’s not a repair that I would expect most people to be able to perform themselves.- with the grease filters in place the air is blowing out the front of the unit and being drawn in towards the back of the unit. I’m still trying to figure out how to correct that problem. It’s definitely something to do with the air flow inside the hood area above the filters.- the hand motion sensors stopped working over a few months time. Every so often the fan might come on, but then I have to touch the button to turn it off. This is the biggest issue for me. I purchased this unit specifically for the hands off feature. And it was very convenient when cooking. I need to engage with customer support to see if this can be easily fixed.- the remote has never been reliable, so I don’t use it.In the end, I get the impression that the fancy electronics are not good quality.Original review (April 2024):This review is based on a my short term experience with the product. I’ll update later after using it for several months. This range vent was purchased to replace a failed over-the-range microwave oven. I downsized to a smaller counter top microwave and upgraded the stove venting. The delivery was fast and despite a damaged box the vent hood was intact. The seller has little control over the delivery. The product was well protected inside the large box. I opened the box and inventoried the contents and was surprised to find a remote control that wasn’t in the product description. I don’t see myself using a remote control to control the appliance, but it works. Before installing the vent hood all of the functions were tested and one of the puck lights was flickering. Support was contacted via e-mail, as their phone number just immediately goes to some music, and their response was quick the next day. They asked for a video of the problem and mailing information. A couple days later i received an e-mail that a replacement light was being mailed. After a couple more days the replacement light was delivered. And replacement of the light was an easy process that is in the included user booklet.During this time I was preparing the mounting location and ducting to work with this new vent hood. This process is the most work! This vent hood is the fourth appliance to go over my stove and none of them had the same mounting and ducting. So this new vent required modifications to the ductwork that beyond this review. I didn’t use the included screws and plastic drywall anchors because I prefer different screws and better anchors, but that hardware was included. Also, know that it may be necessary to add blocking, relocate ductwork, and either add or relocate the electrical box for power that should be located in the cabinet above the vent hood. And to be fair, these requirements would be necessary for most any over-the-range externally venting appliance. And for safety reasons I highly recommend finding someone with the appropriate skill sets if those tasks aren’t something that you do regularly; especially the electrical work. Also, a 900cfm exhaust fan will pull a lot of air from your home and a return air solution is necessary to prevent backdrafting. The vent hood was mounted by the time that the replacement LED puck light was delivered. So I popped in the new light, connected the wire and it’s fully functional. Here’s some pros and cons:- The 4K temperature color LED lights are bright and dimmable, and easily replaced- The two fans are very powerful with four settings and definitely better than the pathetic fan on my old over-the-range microwave- The noise level isn’t too bad on the lower settings, but is louder on the higher settings, which is to be expected. It’s still quieter than the old microwave stove vent that it replaced- The motion control is convenient and in this model is located on the top of the vent hood, so it might be difficult to control if your short or in a wheelchair, but there’s an included remote control to help.- The stainless steel vent filters are easy to remove and reinstall- The black glass front and top of the hood goes well with existing black appliances.- It has a long, attached electrical cord.- Customer support was quick to assist.Cons:- the metal enclosure is pretty thin, so proper mounting is critical to keep the metal from flexing and the vent from vibrating against the cabinet. This goes for any similar appliance. I raised the vent into place using a DIY lift solution of stacked wood, then screwed the enclosure onto the cabinet and wall framing that was created to support the vent.- The black glass is nice, but collects fingerprints, which is why the motion control is helpful- Cleaning the vent top will activate the fan and lights, but it’s easy to turn them off.- I wish that the brand name on the hood front was more subdued.- The IR remote control requires a line of sight to the top of the vent hood. So holding the remote underneath the hood won’t work.Summary: my initial impression is that this vent hood is priced well for the feature set, has two powerful fans, convenient motion control for when your hands are dirty, the stove top lighting is bright, yet dimmable, and customer support is responsive and e-mail based. I can’t comment on reliability at this point, but would recommend this appliance if the style suits your home.
