Terrific value
Nice, simple and effective torch. No fancy brightness modes, but sturdy and easy to grip. Using just 2 AA batteries makes them long lasting and easy to change.

Long lasting and bright
I got this for running - only down side to that will be sweat on the band. However I wear a sweat band any way and this goes over that so no smells and comfortable whilst running. The light is bright enough to be seen on the dimmer setting and bright enough to see where you are going on the brightest setting. The addition of a rear light means I am seen whichever way I am facing / traffic is going. A single charge will last a long time and I do use the light for other tasks as well. All in all a good all rounder and worth the money.

Easy to Use
Strong & sturdy with the on/off switch at exactly the right place when holding the torch (normally I have to feel or look for this on most torches I have purchased in the past), it comes with the batteries already inserted & a very bright light. I highly recommend this product as it is very competitively priced and, in my opinion, is better than others that cost more.

Bright little thing
The Ring Automotive LED torch is a small, light, and robust torch that provides a quite decent amount of illumination at close range ... not the sort of thing for searching out in the distance. It takes 3 AAA batteries (supplied) and is switched on and off with a small blister button at the back. The torch is supplied with a lanyard ... that could have done with being a couple of cms longer (my hands aren't that fat) as I could not slip it onto my wrist. For the price, it is difficult to fault, and is small enough to be tucked into a glove box, or coat pocket.I have not been able to test how long the batteries last ... but I have used it for about 5 or 6 hours to far without any dimming, and as I will be using rechargeable batteries with it ... that is fine for me.Good torch, great price.

Very light, decent light throw and fairly bright
I needed a torch for work as I was regularly using my phone's torch to find stuff in poorly lit areas. Using a separate torch eliminates the risk of damaging or dropping my phone and also saves battery power. This torch is much more comfortable to hold and projects the light many times further than the phone can. It is also so light that it feels like there are no batteries inside, so I was surprised to find it came with batteries when I opened it to try some in.While this is not as bright as most lithium battery powered torches, is still outshines most old filament bulb torches and lasts a lot longer on AA batteries. In fact, I'm still on the original Zinc batteries it came with 2 months ago that I was expecting to deplete within a week or two.The torch does not have any focus adjustment or intensity control, just a simple button switch. However, the light spread and beam projection are both decent and I much prefer the simple on/off operation than cycling through multiple light level, strobe, etc. modes just to turn the torch on or off. The light colour is slightly blue, which may seem unusual for anyone who only previously owned filament bulb based torches.Like my experience with budget torches over the years, this torch has developed an intermittent issue where I sometimes need to tap the torch to get it to turn on at full brightness. This would not put me off buying it again as I have yet to come across a budget torch that works flawless after a few months of use.

I'm a Great Fan.
A great pair of torches here, not mega bright but good enough for 2 AA batteries to power. Compact, well made and light weight, ideal to carry in ones bag or in ones car for finding the key holes in the dark. The Mrs has been using these to light the way at night if she has to let the dogs outside, she is very impressed. well recommended.

Look robust, but poorly made
It's only a guess, but I think many of the glowing reviews may have been written very soon after receiving this torch. I have purchased these three times now (i.e. six torches). At first, they are very good - nice simple, one switch rubber torches. They are (or were) very cheap, and quite bright. However, after a few weeks use I have found that every one of them has developed an intermittent fault, which means the light might come on very dim or not at all. An amount of adjusting the tightness of the torch head will sort things out temporarily but the fault will come back and get more frequent. It is because the strip of metal that runs inside the torch, to link the far end of the batteries to the head, is so flimsy and so poorly fitted that it eventually just gives up the ghost. So, as a very cheap item (£2.99 per torch) for very short term use, this is a great buy. If you need something to last longer, then I would look elsewhere.
