Just good, reliable strings
I have had a top 'E' break after only a couple of hours playing but that is very rare and usually the fault of a sharp edge or rough fret on the guitar. Oddly I also seem to get a fair number of 'A' string breakages but I reckon that is more that particular guitar's fault too.these do sound lovely and jangly and fresh when first fitted but they lose that fairly quickly. For that reason and to minimise the chances of a breakage on stage, I have a two gig (three maximum) limit on my stage guitars for strings (not quite rich enough to have new strings every gig yet). All strings lose their vitality after a while and they are more likely to break the longer they are on the guitar particularly if you're doing a lot of 1-step/1.5-step bends. So, I like these strings and they are all I buy for my electric guitars. I think they are value for money but you do have to keep them fresh.Strings are actually a big part of your sound and there's little point in buying lovely, crisp, expensive pickups if you are going to leave the strings on forever.

Excellent’
Bought these Ernie Ball’s to try a different string gauge and to down tune for playing Doom Metal. I’ve had EB strings in the past and always liked their durability, ease of use and general flexibility. These burly slinky’s are superb. Very impressed with them. They hold their tune and can take a bit of abuse with string bends etc.So far so good, very pleased with and happy with the great price. Nice one!

Mighty Slinky 8.5 set - tried out of curiosity, now a repeat order.
Have been playing recreationally for 35 years. Initially it was always Enie Ball Super Slinky 9s, then the heavier guages came in vogue, I tried 10s, 11s, 12s?, mixed sets, various brands, but I had mixed feelings about them for various reasons. Mindful of putting off arthritic issues/RSI and looking to make life easier, I tried these Mighty Slinky 8.5s. Can't be happier, these work brilliantly on my 2003 Epiphone SG, which has a fixed bridge. I don't tend to do huge amounts of big string bends, and there's no tremelo. It seems to sound good and play well, with the bonus that nothing seems overly stressed including my fingers, but also the standard string grooves in the nut. For me string breakages using these 8.5s are fairly rare, so not always an occurrence between changes, which are probably six months to a year apart, unless a break happens. Breakage rate for me seems broadly, very much like any of the other guage/sets I have tried (pretty low?). These Ernie Ball strings always seem well priced, good quality, and nicely presented. Totally happy with them, over and over again.

Trusted brand
I've been using Ernie's strings for a very long time as they offer a nice balance of brightness and growl.Thing is that they're getting a bit expensive these days.I really can't tell any difference between Ernie Ball and D'Addario in terms of sound or longevity, and D'Addario tend to be cheaper.Four stars for Ernie Ball, Five for D'Addario.

Excellent quality
9.5 is the perfect gauge for me. You wouldn't think .5 would make any real difference, but they feel much better than a regular 9 gauge and are perfect if you don't like the extra rigidity of 10 gauge strings. Great value for the three pack I bought as well.

My favorite strings
These strings are GREAT! They feel amazing while playing, since they are 9s they are very light which means I’m able to get some good bends in my playing. They sound amazing from the very beginning of me putting the strings on. Great strings, no complaints

Can’t go wrong
Trust worthy product, value for money is spot on. I like the quality of sound with these when they’re freshly put on - and the packaging is something I like about Ernie Ball. Great fit for my guitar and versatile to use on any guitar.

Refreshingly made in USA!
It’s so nice to find and use a product still made in North America. These have been a favourite of ours for more than four decades.

Beautiful sound
For me, this is the perfect set of strings. I’d love the idea of having just a little bit more beef to my bass in this set is just the perfect jump up. These are definitely going to be my main stay strings for my electric whoever decided upon the sizes for this set good choice just enough bottom and muscle to make it sound really beefing and growling when you need it but not so much, where it makes the plank of the guitar just too lopsided I find it really shines with metal hard rock music in southern rock stuff like Lynyrd Skynyrd Surprisingly, they’re actually really durable strings too. I do have an extra set, but I’ve yet to have to replace them. The sound quality is still really good and I’m into my second month most the time my strings are dead by the end of the month so I’m kind of impressed.

Excelente opción para ahorrar
Muy buenas cuerdas, calidad Ernie Ball garantizada, la usé en mi Epiphone Les Paul Standard y suenan muy bien. Han durado mucho y el paquete de tres te ahorra mucho dinero.
