Really good shaver for the price
Really good shave, battery last about 10 days, light and easy to hold. For the money really good value. Would certainly buy another when needed.

Winning by a very close whisker.
Having always had either Braun or Remington electric razors i got a bit fed up of the ever increasing prices and the hiked up replacement blade prices I was looking for a change. My Braun had expired a few days before after only 19 months use. Not daily shaving but around 2-3 times a week. (I'm retired and going for the slightly unkempt look). I saw this Surker at a very modest price and decided to risk it. I also purchased a replacement head at a very affordable price. It took a while to arrive from China but was well worth it. What a revelation. I had around 4 days worth of growth and it just flew through it and left me very smooth and impressed. If it only lasts half as long as the high priced competition it is already ahead of the game.. And, if you are thinking Chinese equals cheap and nasty, then you will be as surprised as I was. Very sturdily build with a nice weight and quiet as well.I've had it a week now and am shaving nearly daily. (The unkempt look wasn't working too well) No rash or soreness just smooth cheeks. Maybe early days but highly impressed so far. As is my usual practice I will update this review if anything, good or bad, causes me to change my mind. Well wroth the risk and, as you can return it if not satisfied, not so much of a risk either.9 month on Footnote. Still cutting smoothly and effortlessly. I am really impressed with this razor.

Brilliant and a bargain too!
Not one for writing lengthy reviews generally, but this razor is definitely worth it. Having looked at various makes and models over a few weeks, including the high end ones such as Braun and Philips, I decided to go for one which was at the budget end. This electric razor/shaver is between 3 and 5 times cheaper than the top models from the big brand names but gives an excellent shave. I was looking to replace my wet razor as it now costs a fortune to buy new blades throughout the year and was after the convenience of an electric again having not had one for a few years.I wasn’t expecting a great deal from the Surker for the price, but would have been happy if I only had to use a wet razor when wanting a really close shave - I was completely wrong to do so.Firstly, charging - it’s hard to comment on this as I have only had to charge it once having used it for the past four + weeks on a daily basis. The clear display lets you know exactly how much charge you have left and it doesn’t run out quickly at all. It’s easy to charge via the cable and USB plug provided.Speeds - there are two speeds or at least it has an on speed and a turbo. I haven’t used the turbo much as the cutting speed is more than adequate.Closeness - to say it cuts as close as a wet blade would probably not be completely accurate, but it is not far off. It is highly effective and easy to get to all areas. I have had no snagging as I used to get with an older Philips and the cut is incredibly smooth. It can be used wet or dry and is completely waterproof allowing it to be used in the shower if needed. It is easy to take apart and clean with the brush included and being waterproof can be submerged or run under then tap.I can’t rate this razor highly enough - a real find and complete bargain compared to other makes. Easily the best electric razor I have used and the cheapest!

Almost a bargain!
Pretty good, all in all! Well made and light to use. Gives a very close shave either wet or dry, but you need to take your time to get the best out of it. My only gripe was the fact that the foil only lasted 6 weeks of daily use and then holes appeared, necessitating a further £14.99 outlay for another foil. Really like the USB charging though!

I have had this a few days now, Firstly the instructions are very small writing and fairly basic, the shaver its self feels nice to hold and charges quickly a bonus is the USB as well as mains, It shaves very close however each time i have used it afterwards i get razor burn, this could be because its so close, You get a basic polyester bag and a small brush too, for the money its not bad but it does burn somewhat

After 4 years it's still an excellent shaver
This dual speed shaver was purchased 6+years ago. It has been faultless throughout. It recharges in about 1h. Gives about 2 weeks of quick shaves per charge. Cleans more easily than any shaver I have had. Gives a smooth clean shave as long as you shave every day. Indicates % battery level. Apart from an expired Philips rotary bought in the 70's (sadly, no longer a good make) this is the best shaver I have ever purchased. Negative reviews make no sense - like any shaver you need to be gentle when cleaning. Brush between the blades, not along the length as that will damage the cutters. I have never used water, brushing is enough and I am still on my first set of foil/blades.

Relief - the reviews are not fakes.
Yes is really is excellent. A great close shave - quick and comfy. The only criticism (not worth taking off a star) is the turbo function. I suppose this is for an even quicker shave but all the leaflet says is that it wears out the blades and not to use it for too long! So at best it's redundant and at worst will wear out your shaver. Don't use it then I hear you cry - well you sort of have to as it comes on before you press the button again to turn off. The way around this is to hold the shaver over the sink and open the top (bigger top button) to let the shaving fall out and then turn the shaver on/off button; first press turns on the turbo without wearing the blades and helps dislodge the shavings, and second press turns it off.I know my Braun Aquaglide was getting on a bit but the replacement foil and blades (when you could get them) were more than the entire cost of this shaver, which is better. A genuine bargain.
