These fit perfect on my Astro A40 TR headset and are half the price of the ones Astro sells, but Astro never has them in stock anymore and I think they stopped making them because I haven't seen them available on Astro's website for months, plus Astro wants $60. These don't come with the microphone, but they do come with 2 head top pads instead of 1 and come with 2 microphone foam covers. I bought the faux leather ones because they are better because you don't hear what's going on around you in the room while wearing them while gaming! I have the original ones that feel like cloth and I can hear everything that's going on in the room and they don't keep sound out like the faux leather ones

Needed new hardware for my Astro A40TRS and these fit like a glove . Very satisfied with quality and comfort of product, best thing cooling gel in the foam keep your head cool while having headset on for hours.

Considering the original ones are hard to find for my Red A40 TR, and always out of stock. These fit comfortable. So a good replacement considering my original ones were falling apart.

I've had the A40s for a while now, and I really like everything about them. This set allows me to change from what's there to a memory-foam style set of pads and earpads. They are comfortable and slot in perfectly. If I hadn't looked at them right before installing them, I wouldn't have known that they weren't factory or OEM.Installation was simple, and it came with all of the pieces that will likely wear out that touch your head while wearing it.My only complaint is the material on the earpads causes a little bit more heat to build up and stay there. Where the OEM ones are more of a cottony mesh - these are a leather-like material that holds heat a little more.

Had my Astros a40 for 3 years now.. have to say this was long overdue.The new earmuffs are extremely comfortable and because of how long I had the og earmuffs, I never really noticed how much of the noise canceling i was missing out on.

Just buy a mod kit directly from astro. The quality of all the components are abismal. The earcup quality is so bad that it makes my headset sound like a 20 dollar Walmart brand PoS.

I unfortunately lost the top headband piece for my ASTRO a40 trs and bought this as a replacement the quality is better than the manufacturer, I also used the ear cuffs because they were getting abit won out. I recommend these as a solid replacement

These are excellent. The ear cup's inner diameter is slightly smaller so if you have bigger ears like me you'll notice but it DOESN'T change the sound at all. I played all day I can confirm it is as comfortable or more comfortable than the original, the ear cups are thicker and do not get hot with longer sessions.The Pop filter is a welcome addition and the top headband is great.Anyone looking for a ModKit to replace the foam parts I would highly recommend it. This is actually an amazing product, I’ve had my OG Astro a40 TR for absolutely years and the original ear cups and head foam were starting to deteriorate. The clamping force was also considerably low on the old kit. The quality is exceptional, you’d expect it to have the Astro tag on it, it’s that good! The price is debatable, if I knew how much it cost to make then i may not be saying that! The quality of audio is also improved as they don’t leak sounds like the original Astro stuff. BUY this product if you have an old Astro A40 TR that needs a facelift!
