Brilliant product and service from the seller
This came very quick - ordered on Wednesday, arrived Friday and for the inclusive price with the postage, a very good deal - very impressed overall. The actual item is what it is - a wire or metal thickness gauge. It's made of stainless steel as stated so it should last well and came in a small plastic 'wallet' with a printed scale to refer to - very handy. I brought it as I wanted to use it for buying metal box section and similar for a few ongoing projects and this will be quite up to the job and a fraction of the cost of the one I brownout some years ago that was so handy, some kind soul helped themselves to it:(.. I recommend this item, no probs. 10/10

Stainless steel
The plus point is that this is stainless.. the possible downside is that it is very thin, my old original that has served me well for over 40 year is much thicker material so feels more study. The original is not stainless

Excellent
Arrived in super quick time. This is an excellent little gadget. It is solid and feels substantial without being bulky.I make jewellery and use wires in lots of different gauges but I often lose the size label so needed a way of checking what I am using. The sizes are in SWG on one side and the corresponding metric measure on the other. Most of the wire that I buy comes in metric sizes so the SWG do not usually correspond exactly with the metric. For example, 21 SWG equates to 0.81 mm but it is close enough to be able to work out the sizes.

OK for the money but a bit thin
A handy wire gauge which can be described as value for money and is marked swg one side and mm's the other side. Useful for occasional use and will need to be kept flat as it wont stand knocking about in my workshop like the old Moore and Wright and Chesterman ones did. It will do the job it was bought for.
