Pocket rocket!
This little hoover is an absolute pocket rocket! Super powerful, great on both hard floors AND carpets, perfect for lugging up and down stairs with it being so light and it actually stands up on it's own unlike other stick vacs. It's a great hand held too which I'll be using on my car. 6m power cable is fab as I don't have to keep unplugging to move to other rooms and all the little crevice tools are a nice touch. Bit on the noisy side but we can live with that because the functionality of this product far outweighs it being a bit noisy! It's easy to empty, you can buy additional filters for 20 quid for a 3 pack, it's easy to use, picks hairs up no problem and gets under little spaces. Bargain!

Very powerful despite compact size
So far, am very happy with this for the price - it's almost too powerful for little jobs. Only downside is that it's also quite loud. Am going to first insert a quick summary of good and bad points, so you can skip the rest if you want..Positive:Very powerful suction for sizeCompact/space-savingLong power leadConnections for tube/attachments are reasonably sturdy, considering the low priceEasy to emptyNegative:LoudQuite heavy when using as hand-held (for the size, it's a lot lighter than a full-size one, of course - about half the weight of my full size, would guess)No brush on floor attachment for hard floorsShoulder strap looks uncomfortable (haven't tested though)Quite small container capacity (although that comes with the size, and it's a good compared to overall size - it's supposed to be 1.3 l but not sure that's really the case - in practise, it probably needs emptying before it holds that)Cost of replacement filters - not sure how often this will need changing.I was wavering between a re-chargeable or a hand-held with a cable and might still buy a re-chargeable one for little jobs, but most of them have a maximum of 30 mins or so run-time, and to get that, you need to invest £50 or so, so went for this one, initially. It's a lot more powerful than a re-chargeable one could ever be, about x 10, I would think, although have only limited experience with the re-chargeable ones. It's quite small and compact, and I will mainly be using it as a hand-held myself, although it's also handy as a stand-in if your full-size vacuum is broken. I was initially looking at hand-held vacuums for a rather weird purpose: my pot plants have fungus gnats - little black flies that crawl over the compost and fly up in clouds if disturbed. I've been trying to eliminate them, which is notoriously difficult and part of my strategy is to vacuum up the adult flies. With a full-size vacuum, that's tricky, as it's very easy to damage the plants by accident. This is also almost too powerful for that, but it's also very handy for other jobs around the house and as a stand-in while I wait for a spare part for my full-size one. For the price, it's an excellent buy, so although it's not really suitable for my initial intended purpose, or only with great care, I'll keep it for other jobs. Another slight downside compared to re-chargeable ones is its weight: it's not very light for its compact size. For me, this is not a huge issue, but if you've got issues carrying anything heavy, this might not be the right choice for small jobs, although there is a shoulder strap included. The measurements are as follows:Main body is about 40 cm long and 16 cm at its widest point where the handle is.The telescopic tube is 77 cm long once inserted and fully extended. The flexihose is 56 cm long, and the shoulder strap can be adjusted to between 77 and 145 cm length. The strap doesn't look very good quality or very strong, btw, but personally, won't be using it much. It's also doesn't look very comfortable, as is quite narrow (1.5 cm) and has no pad for the shoulder. The cable is a very generous 5.90 m (might even be 6 m - was still curly from being packed, so hard to measure accurately). The main floor attachment is 23 cm wide at the widest point at the front. It has no brushes or red fabric to pick up hairs (although I don't find either work very well anyway), but for hard floors, the lack of a brush might be relevant, if you're worried about scratching an expensive finish. I have cheap lino and carpet, so don't really ever use the brushes for hard floors, as find dirt gets picked up better without, so for me, this is not an issue. The filter can be replaced, and comes out quite easily for emptying: it's simply pulled out, and is easy to reinsert. The dust container is not big, of course, with such a small vacuum, and the container can only be filled up the bottom of the filter, so you've got a few handfuls worth in there. But it's easy to open and empty with the push button on top and simply tips out, unlike full size vacuums, which are often a job to empty properly. However, unless you've only done a very small job, you also need to uncover the filter and knock it clean of dirt pretty much every time you empty, I would guess. The filter has a little cover, that is held in place by a velcro strip, and you have remove this to clean the filter, whether wet or dry cleaning. However, it's quite easy to do, just to be aware it's not quite as simple as tipping up the container over the bin.The parts fit together reasonably well considering the low price: to insert the telescopic tube, you press a button down and it clicks into place quite easily and sits securely, so it won't come out until you want it to. The attachments are inserted into the tube on the main body and feel reasonably sturdy and well-attached once pushed in fully. If you're not using the telescopic tube, some air comes out of the hole where it is inserted, but so far as I could see, the air that came out wasn't dusty. I imagine this might change if the filter is no longer operating at full capacity and needs changing/cleaning. It remains to be seen how often the filter will need replacing. At £8.99 per replacement filter, this does not come cheap, if it needs doing often.. Although am pretty sure the filter can be washed with water, so hopefully, will last a while. The brush attachment picks up pet hairs quite well, but they stay on the attachment, so you have to pull them off by hand, but have yet to find a vacuum attachment where this is not the case - even Dyson are not perfect for pet hairs. I tried the brush attachment on my curtains, which get hairy, as my cats like to look out the window, and it worked well at removing them, and the curtain was not sucked into the brush, as sometimes happens with my full-size vacuum.Overall, am very happy with this and am sure it'll get used a lot. I found it was barely worth putting the full-size vacuum away when that was the only one I had, as I was always using it for little jobs - I use a vacuum for dusting, too, and hardly ever use a brush and dustpan when I can just vacuum it up far more efficiently, but it's annoying to have to get the big one out for every little job, so am sure this will be an ideal solution. Overall, would recommend this, but it depends on your priorities: if you want something very light-weight and quiet, this will not be your best option, whereas if you want something compact but powerful, this is a great buy. The other thing compared to re-chargeable options is that although the cable is long, it's still awkward having it, and you still have to keep moving the plug unless your property is really tiny. But the trade-off is that you can use this for as long as you want without having to worry about recharging, and the powerful suction, so again, it depends on your priorities.

For a quick clean, great...
But my dog hairs have to be picked up by hand and put into the vacuum. Well it's keeping me fit!

Not recommended
Do not recommend this machine. Very lightweight but so much that had to keep stopping pressing the part that should be on the floor down as sitting part way up, the on/off button is in wrong place when cleaning under things it keeps catching and turning machine off, it has sucking action only, which I new but expected it to pick more up, it picks up loose dirt but nothing much else, also very noisy. Worst thing though the hose connection to the main part broke, I contacted seller and asked just for a replacement hose part, they asked for a pic which I sent but they never responded back after I sent, so contacted Amazon they could not replace the part but refunded me for the whole machine, that's why I love buying on Amazon, they always sort things out.

Lightweight with good suction.
Really good small lightweight hoover. We’ve had several of these and they’re great for small areas. Has good suction and picks up everything well. Well worth the money. Would recommend if you just want to run a hoover over an area quickly rather than lugging a great big one around. We’ve used this on a boat and at home. Very good.
