Mystical Mandala Coloring Book (Dover Design Coloring Books)

Love the beautiful pictures this book contains :)
This is one of the nicest adult colouring books I have ever purchased. I am quite fussy regarding the quality and style of drawing used in such books and this product didn't disappoint. I have found that there are never more than 3 or 4 nice pictures to colour in the majority of adult colouring books _ I told you I was fussy ! :) Every mandala in this book was fabulously drawn however, and a pleasure to colour in. The quality of the paper was good too and I liked that the pages could easily be removed. On the downside mandalas were printed on both sides of a page, which resulted in bleed through of colour, so I could only colour in half of the beautiful designs. Nevertheless, I loved this product and I highly recommend it.

therapeutic
I was at first disappointed with this book but I have done a few of the mandalas and got a lot of pleasure out of it.The downside - the colour bleed through the page ruining the mandala on the other side of the page. They are not based on sacred geometry or symbolism typically seen in ancient mandalas. The upside - they are fun to colour in and the designs based on nature are pretty. So I would recommend that you photocopy the mandalas on decent paper in order to do all of the mandalas. Or perhaps the publishers could print the mandalas one to a piece of paper.

Very disappointing
This isnt as good as they make it out to be,I bought it for my kids and they love the patterns but after colouring one in my daughter wanted to cut it out but there are drawings on both sides of the page, this is when the printers want it done cheaply, not very good if you want to cut patterns out.

good for child and adult alike.
I bought this for my 11 year old son who had seen me using Joanna Basford's secret garden book and wanted a book of his own to colour in. The price was amazing so I ordered 2 one for him and one for me and we are both thoroughly enjoying the patterns in this book. We haven't found that any of the felt tip colours have gone through as previous reviewers have mentioned and the pictures seem to magically transform themselves into something beautiful once you colour them.Don't be put off by comments about colour bleeding through or bizarre pictures as you will find as we have that once you get going with the colouring etc they look lovely. There is something quite therapeutic about the repetition madalas offer. The only negative I could find to say is I would like more intricately designed pictures but that is after being spoilt after Joanna Basford, for children of a certain age it is a must.

Lovely book
The mandalas are printed on both sides and the paper is quite thin but colouring pencils are no problem. Gel pens should be OK though. All the pictures are lovely and not too detailed but just enough. Its a thin book so light to carry around. Some people may think that it doesn't compare to some of the other adult colouring books out there but I recommend it and also a good starter book.

Addictive
Having rediscovered my love of colouring whilst sitting with my children as they coloured in the likes of Postman Pat and Brum, I decided to treat myself to a proper grown-up colouring book. These designs are beautiful, clearly printed on good quality paper and there is a great sense of satisfaction to be had from planning out the colours you want to use and being happy with the final result.

mystical patterns
This was ordered as a gift and was well received. The delivery was excellent and book in perfect condition. My only wish would be that the patterns were not printed on both sides of the page. Coloured pencils and chalk will be fine but any felt tip pens bleed through to the back of the page and obscure the patterns on the front and back of page.
