The product contains bees wax which prompted me to purchase this product. It is an easy spray to use and once the polish has been gentle wiped into the furniture, the result is outstanding. There is a very pleasant 'perfume' which I also like; it adds to the pleasure of polishing my dear old furniture. I have a friend who used this polish on her parquet flooring which protects the wood.If you are buying this product for the first time, I suggest you read the instructions/directions as the polish should not be used on unsealed wooden surfaces.If you have wood furniture or floor coverings, this polish (in my opinion) is the best on the market. If your laminated surfaces are solid wood, say oak or beech, you would normally oil them, we have solid wood, work surfaces and find the best way to preserve the surface is to use the tins of wood oil you can buy in IKEA, it certainly would work out a lot cheaper for you and your surfaces would not require oiling again for around 6 months or more, as the oil soaks in and dries giving you a water proof surface which is wipeable with a damp sponge. The Silicone free spray polish I only use it on my best antique wood furniture, around the house, I would never use any of the cheaper sprays that you can buy in most shops.
