My work involves a lot of access control and inevitably contracted companies let me down and I have to do something myself, even if it's just temporary.This push-to-exit button is good, a decent price, obvious, clearly labelled and works.It's quite simple to wire and has the build quality of any lightswitch (and so can stand up to the same abuse from users).Couldn't fault it.

This release switch has very clear and decent text size marking of 'PRESS TO EXIT' on the face plate which makes it very noticeable, which is exactly what is needed to bring it to the attention of the people who will be pressing it to exit.The switch has a very strong spring to it so may be difficult for the elderly, disabled or children to use successfully.When the faceplate is attached to the backing mounting box it is not the neatest of finish. I personally like faceplates to match to the back boxes without any gap between the two, and although this was good, it wasn't perfect.

This is a sturdy product, and I liked the engraved depth and green print on the item. Attractive gloss surface mount quality. The press to exit was used as a replacement for an existing door release. One of the drawbacks of these access and egress rocker switch types is that over time these will naturally fail and require replacement, based upon usage, most certainly in a commercial environment where these will be used perhaps hundreds of times per day.
