Amazing long term use filter
I bought this filter in March 2023, and have been extremely pleased with it. I grind my own coffee beans and have used this filter daily. I rinse it out each day, and stick it in the dishwasher every now and then, since the grinds can get stuck in the filter after some time. It consistently makes great coffee and I highly recommend it. I feel better about reusing a non paper item and it works very well.

A keeper
It's personal preference, but I find that paper filters take away that nice rich mouthfeel I like. But I don't care for the sludge I get with a French Press. This filter in my V60 produces what I consider a perfect cup of rich, sludge free Columbian Supremo. Cleanup is easy peasy, and the grounds get added to the flower beds, or the lawn.

Metal chemist coffee filter 👍
Reusable coffee filter is very good value. Cost of metal filter is comparable to the price of only one box of single use paper filters. I began using the metal filter during the pandemic because paper filters were not available. The metal filter drains better than paper and is easy to clean. I dump the used coffee grounds in the compost bucket, rinse the metal filter and reuse.

Great coffee
The speed in which it brews the coffee is better than paper filter. It doesn’t clog and performs well. I do get some sediment using this product but it is expected with any mesh/metal filter in my experience. I would choose this product again if there was a need for it.

Worth it
I love the ease and simplicity of making coffee in my chemex. It fits perfectly! And I don’t have to wonder if I need to replenish my paper filters.

Works well with excellent flavor!
My wife calls me a coffee snob. I prefer to say I only choose to drink good coffee. Whatever the truth is, I tend to spend more money than I should on my home coffee bar. I have a $400 coffee grinder and at least 10 different brew methods. My go-to method is a Chemex with a V60 as a close 2nd because of overall flavor and cup purity.I picked this up because I got tired of tossing one or two filters every day. The TL:DR version - after some setup, this makes a great cup of coffee. This filter does a decent job of keeping grinds out of the finished brew. To test, I brewed coffee using my standard settings, tasted the coffee, and then poured through a typical filter. There were a very small amount of fines left in the filter, but I expect that's partly a result of using a really good grinder. Using a lower quality grinder would likely result in more fines and more cup chewiness, but still far less than what you would expect from a French press. The major benefit, aside from waste reduction, is the preservation of the bean that are generally captured by a paper filter. This means a unique and flavorful cup after some time is taken to dial in the brew process. Changes in grind, temperature, size, etc make significant differences in the cup but the result of effort is a fantastic and unique cup of coffee. This is an excellent step up in the overall coffee experience that works for both the V60 and Chemex. The only reason for a reduction in a star is the overall fit in a Chemex. It sits right down in the filter section instead of resting slightly on top. This makes it a little more difficult to pull out and clean, but is really a minor issue. If this was another quarter inch taller or wider it would be perfect.

Outstanding!
I have been using this for about a month now with an 8 cup Chemex and am really happy with it. Very little sediment if any gets thru. Coffee tastes great. Very easy to clean. I would give it more stars if I could! Try it and you won't be disapointed.

Makes delucious coffee
Contrary to some others’ reviews, I find this filter very easy to keep clean. I always rinse it out immediately after the coffee is brewed, before I sit down to drink it. I have never encountered any grounds stuck in the filter after running hot water through and sometimes, not always, using a brush. The filter drips through much faster than when I used Hario V60 papers, which take for ever. My coffee is brewed quickly so good and hot, and with excellent flavour. 5 stars to this lroduct
