Easy to use instructions and nice finish.

Product works as well as any other cold blue... Nothing exceptional. The rest of the kit is flimsy and applicators break like spaghetti noodles.

Have applied approx 7 coatings and appears to be doing a pretty good job. But, it was on a piece of metal partially covered by gunstock, so it wasn't critical. I would use it again if needed on other parts of gun metal. Easy to apply, but, has very important warnings.

Used this on an old double barrel shotgun, was easy to apply. Made the it look so much better.

Used on a mossberg 500 that was ruined by water from a house fire. Took the metal down to white metal and used this. I used a heat gun to give the barrel a little warmth and put this on using makeup sponges in nice smooth strokes. I used about 8 layers to make it perfect. No one believed I did it myself. The cotton swab sticks are good for small areas and corners but they'll look streaky if you use them on the barrel. Good luck and have fun.

Read the directions and read several reviews. It worked best after letting the barrel & parts heat in the Florida sun. I didn't have to take it off as quick as the directions said, but it's still very fast. The directions will tell you how to slow the cure time if you're matching existing blue. Very happy with the purchase.

I have used this product on gun barrels, knives, hatchets and hammers with excellent results. It may take more than a single application, followed by steel wool smoothing and reapplication to obtain a really smooth dark finish.
