Amazing mic
The sound quality was way better than my aftermarket radio. Sound quality was super close to my iPhone 11 mic.

Great for Recording thoughts or video
I use this for times when I am brainstorming ideas for my business in terms of video content or marketing. Usually, my go-to method is to walk around and record myself as I come up with ideas, and then I transcribe them later using the software. It's a quick and easy way for me to get all my thoughts out as they flow, and then I go back and organize them. When I am walking around, I usually hold my phone up and talk into it, but I like talking with my hands and holding my phone; it sometimes causes the recording to go in and out regarding the volume of my voice, which can mess with the transcription software. So I bought this microphone because it was a great price. The cable is a great length for being able to clip it onto my shirt and have it plugged into my phone, and I still have a decent amount of slack in the cord. The clip keeps the microphone in its place, and the foam windshield does a great job of canceling out my pop sounds while at the same time not adding a lot of rustling noises from my shirt. The sound pickup is great for the microphone and it is very clear. My transcription software was able to transcribe my thoughts a little more clearly than just hand-holding the phone. the microphone is also directional, so it picks up my voice but drowns out a lot of the background noise, which is always a great benefit. I did not notice any static or hissing when I plugged it into my audio interface to do a test comparison, but I noticed a slight amount when I had it plugged into my phone, but that may have been my phone or the case preventing it from going in 100%.These will also work as lapel microphones to plug into a wireless transmitter that accepts 3.5mm microphones. I have a few Rode Go Wireless IIs, but these would be great for being more discreet or even as a backup, so I may be picking up a few more of these soon.Overall, I think this microphone serves its purpose very well; I think it is a great price for the quality of the microphone and its value. I may look crazy walking around and talking to myself, but it's worth it for the time it saves me sitting in front of a computer trying to organize my thoughts.

Works well enough
Functions fine as far as audio capture to my recorder. I wish the clip was a little more flexible for my particular application.

Much needed accessory for any aftermarket stereo
This mic is a necessary item for any aftermarket stereo install that does not include the mic. I installed a touchscreen unit to my older pickup truck and it did not include the mic. I just assumed that the lack of such item meant that the head unit would do a good job of picking up my voice. Boy was I wrong. I was finding myself yelling into the head unit anytime someone called and that got annoying really fast. This mic is easy to install if you have basic knowledge of stereo equipment and interior trim. It plugs directly to the mic port on the back of your unit and can be ran under the dash and alongside the door frame. You can either run it up to your visor or just clip it into the trim for the door frame and windshield, which was what I chose to do. Putting it in the visor gets it a little closer to your face but I use my visor frequently so I didn’t want any unnecessary wear and tear on the wire and mic.The mic picks up my voice so much better than the cheap mic built into the head unit. I no longer have to yell during a phone conversation and look as if I’m always arguing every time a phone call comes in while driving my truck.Good clean audio is picked up with this mic and is a must have for any head unit lacking one.

Terrible sound quality
Don't install this in your car.. you'll be wasting your time... Nobody could hear me clearly. I got a Kenwood from WallmartZ website and it's much better

I wish the cable was longer and the clip designed differently.
I got this to replace the built in aftermarket radio microphone in my car. While the sound quality is okay and much better than the integrated radio microphone, the cable is barely long enough for a left pillar installation. About one inch of slack is what I had left to play with when I ran the cable under the left pillar trim and then straight to the radio. Also the clip is really not designed for a car installation .. I do not know what clip they used in their last picture to install the microphone on the visor but this is not the same clip than the one provided with this microphone. While it is possible to remove the microphone from the clip and mount it in the opposite direction, it still is not a practical clip for a car installation .. the microphone itself is okay but the clip is a no go for me so I decided to not use this microphone and go with something different.
