GUNTHER Sirius Boomerang

Never used a boomerang until Spring/Summer 2013, so decided to buy 5 different types of boomerang from different brands and have a good play around the park, just a note I tried this at the beach and busy park, don't bother! Unless you have flat level ground and no people around or your a pro its too dangerous and can be time consuming finding it on long grass when it lands..This is my favorite Boomerang so far and by far. The others tend to be adjustable and initially that sounded great, but its not! Because if you don't know what your doing the last thing you want is inconsistency in every throw due to the flexible changes occurring in the adjustable versions. This is made of real wood and brings reminiscent of cave man style hunting instead of just the plastic stuff making you feel like a kid. Hmmm I've just turned 30.Read the instructions carefully and take note to the small nuances required for good flight return. Because of its rigid body it'll stay the same shape allowing you time to master the throw for good return. Take note of slight wind changes, drop some grass with your hands from shoulder height in the air to see which direction its blowing and throw 45degress right of it for right handed and opposite for left handed throws. I consider myself a fast learner, Ice skate in ten minutes, cycling in 2 hours, driving in 6 lessons and passed. But this took me 3-4hours. I think it took me some time due to having 5 different types of boomerang in one place and throwing them sequentially all with slightly or more than slightly differing throwing instructions.If this your first time boomeranging and you want to master it, then buy this one!If you want to play with kids and walk all day and never really get it to land back to you then there's the Aerobie version (triangle shape) that is great for keeping fit as it can land very far from the thrower.Great fun! Buy it, keep it in the car, under the boot and whenever you see some deserted space on a nice day go for it!

This is what i came up with after a few weeks of research on the internet. I am pleased with my choice, as this is the ideal boomerang for a beginer. Easy to throw, with clear instructions for use. Quite strong, but the layers can fray if you throw poorly and it smashes into the ground! Be careful in anything other than light wind, as you will completely lose control! I like this one as you can try to catch it and it won't take your fingers off! Nice and light, the only negative is that it doesn't go far in distance, but that's ok cos you won't have so far to walk to collect after each time you throw it incorrectly!

Really really goodTakes a bit to get the hang of, but once you have the direction of the wind and the power of the throw sorted, it lands with in 5 m of your position,watch your fingers,If I lost it I would buy another straight away that's how good it is.

This boomerang does not work in normal conditions. In a light breeze, it won't return. But it is worth having, because you can use it when the weather is too windy to try an ordinary boomerang.

If you are interested in taking up boomeranging this is ideal for beginners just starting, i bought one and it took me about a week to see how it flew and standing in the correct position in the wind before it started to come back to me. Now i can get this boomerang to return to everytime and even my 7 year old nephew can do the same. its very easy to catch and attracts attention very quickly and people are impressed if your see catching it. If you want you can take the sticker off and paint it yourself just remember to vanish it. have fun

Not good at all. I've tried it in every wind conditions, every launch angles, every launch strength...just fall far far far away from me. Wish I could return this (no pun intended)

The second time i threw it it landed on the floor and snapped in half. For £10 i would expect it to last longer than 1 throw. Not hapoy and definately wouldnt buy again or recommend
