Exactly what I needed
Used this to help find an oil leak on my focus ST MK2, works very well, even had the garage I used to help say they are going to get some. For the price it's definitely worth it if your unsure where the leak is coming from

Detecting the source of oil leaks in an engine.
This dye is used to help you find the original source of an oil leak. You add the dye to the oil, (usually mixing it with some of the oil to start with, to help it mix in quickly), one 25 mil bottle for a car, half for a motorbike, and then run the vehicle. using a UV torch, you then inspect the engine, and the oil leak will show up as a florescent yellow, its quite unmissable !So, points to note. Clean the engine first, as best you can, and remove as much as you can of all the old oil spills. Then shine the UV torch on the engine. You need to do this as oil naturally fluoresces under UV light, so the old oil will 'light up' anyway, but nowhere near as much as the oil with the dye in it, that is MUCH brighter.I did this and then ran the engine for a few minutes. Then checked it with the torch. Then did it again, a few minutes longer, etc. If you have a serious leak and run it for 20 minutes, as recommended, then the whole engine will light up like a Xmas tree !Finally, the torch they supply is a little cheap and low powered. It does work, but you have to fiddle about with it to get it to work, and then you need to be really close in to make the oil show up. On the motorbike I was working on, this was OK, but on a car engine where access isn't so good this could be an issue. I did buy a stronger torch, details below.https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00P0LIG82/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Dye works well, torch is very poor.
Dye worked well, the torch is really cheap quality, and takes some fiddling about to get it working. Overall quiet satisfied.

Single use/disposable torch. Don't expect to get your batteries back.
The torch is such poor quality. It takes 3 X AAA batteries of which I put in my nice trusty rechargeable ones I've had for ages. Really tight to fit them in the torch, and I should have thought ahead because they were impossible to get back out without digging out with screwdrivers. I've not even got round to looking for the oil leak and already the batteries and torch are a state. My advice would be to buy a better quality kit you can keep in your toolbox for future use, but if you do buy this one, dont expect to get your batteries back, and dont tinker around with the torch until you're ready to use it. This is a single use/disposable item.

Problem solved
One of my clients had oil loss from an industrial gearbox and we didn’t know where from as we had no access to check it when it was operational. This simple test kit revealed that a breather plug fitted too near the gears was the problem.Simple to use and great value.

Easily visible oil dye
Did the job - added to oil tank to trace leaks. Dye showed up well under uv light supplied - but you do need to buy batteries for the uv torch.

Brilliant product!!
Fantastic product!! I found a pinhole leak in an engine block in seconds with this! Spent weeks beforehand trying to locate it. You can see how clearly it shows up in the photo. Great product.
