It cuts fast!
Another remarkable tool from Milwaukee! I was looking for a efficient way to cut raised floor tiles at a data center I'm working at. It has done wonderful. Definitely saves time over a jigsaw or Sawzall with a non bur finish, and it didn't chip up the finish on top of the tile.

OMG!!
Tool came fast, well packaged, and ready to go. I like I could buy tool only as I have plenty of batteries. The first cut I made with this saw was 2"x4"x1/4" walled steel. Had I more experience with the saw it would have done the job in one pass. With the included blade 2 inch cut, you really have to keep the saw flat and tight to the surface of your material. I plan to get the 5 7/8 " blade this week to help with that.My guess is when you take your new saw out of the box you will be thinking you bought the wrong saw! I did. Watch some YouTube videos on this saw, and I assure you this saw will do what you see it do the way it does it in the video. My favorite introduction to this saw to my friends is to cut a scrap piece of 1/4" flat stock and put the cut directly on my face. It really is not hot at all and a mirror cut. You will not regret this saw. Just like every other Milwaukee tool I have, I wonder, where has this been my whole life? Really great saw, light weight, feels good in your hand, makes straight cuts easily. JUST ORDER IT !!

As close as you'll get to a lightsaber!
I've used a 4-1/2" metal blade on a mini corded wormdrive saw for years and always lusted for this saw. I saw that it was heavily discounted so I finally bought it and it has exceeded my expectations after cutting a heavy duty metal door (3/32" sheet on both sides with nearly 2" of foam in the middle) into smaller chunks like it was cutting through 1/8" lauan board. Having the clear chip gaurd on the front is just icing on the cake - I no longer need to wear a blast suit when using a metal saw as it keeps all the shavings well under control! The stock blade is great but it's a standard size for metal blades so this saw will hopefully live a long hard life in my shop! If you have any projects with metal sheets in the future - this is a tool you really should consider purchasing!

Noisy and blades are pricy.
Awesome metal cutting saw.. not much it won’t cut through. Blades are expensive. Noise is excessive.

A saw has to know his limitations
I bought this saw specifically for its light weight and small size. I already had a (corded) Fein Slugger 9" worm drive metal saw, and I had been looking forward to the release of the Milwaukee Fuel 8" Metal Saw, but decided what I was lacking more was something with easier handling for, say, going up a ladder and cutting a fairly small piece. A large saw can be really clumsy and precarious doing that sort of thing.Besides cutting metal tubing, sheet, and plate, I have used it to cut plywood, 2x4s, and PVC pipe. The blade isn't particularly fast for cutting wood, but it works pretty well. For PVC, you can get a real clean cut--much better than using a hacksaw or sawzall, IMO.This is an awesome little saw, but I found a couple of its limitations. First, cutting longitudinally through a weld bead on 1/4" mild steel plate (about 3/8" total thickness), the residual stresses in the metal began to pinch the blade pretty good. The little saw was powering through it, until after about 3-1/2" out of maybe 6 or 7", the heat protection would apparently shut it down. It was then a pain to extricate from the cut, and several carbide tips were damaged and lost in the process. I actually repeated this twice before I realized the saw had shut itself down. Also in the process, the abundance of hot chips partially melted through the lower guard (some blistering on the outside). After this, I got out my Fein Slugger 9" corded saw, and powered right through it all.If it had not been for the pinch due to the weld bead, I think the only problem would have been the guard melting--which would have actually been worse. One thing a buyer should be aware of is that there is no bevel adjustment for this saw--90 degree shoe angle only.
