Not a Dell Battery or It’s Refurbished - Not New Like Advertised
I put this battery in a Dell 5490 laptop, and after 4 months got an error message that it wasn’t a Dell battery. Not sure why it took that long, and Dell support said it’s either not a Dell or it was refurbished and has gone bad already. Avoid any battery not from Dell’s site. It may be a racket on their part, but not sure what other option I have.

Perfect for Dell 5490
I bought this to replace my aging Latitude 5490 battery. On a full charge it would get down to 50% before suddenly dropping to 8%. This battery was a perfect fit, easy to install, and is providing nice long intervals between charges.

According to Dell Service these are not Dell Batterys there knock offs that are short lived.
