IDEAL ESPRESSO SCALE/SHOT TIMER
Based on a number of negative reviews, I was tempted to pass on the Nano Coffee Scale. Glad I took the chance. This scale is the perfect size to use under the cup when measuring out espresso shots. In all fairness to those who left negative reviews about how to operate the scale and how the scale appeared unstable or unpredictable, I had the same issues at first. I think reading how all the functions work made everything appear far more complicated than they are. When I re-read the instructions (which are very well-written), I realized I was over-thinking everything. Operating the scale is far easier than it sounds in the user manual. The last thing that may throw some people off is that the display does not respond instantly when you tap a button, giving you the feeling you may have missed and tempting you to over-tap. Give it a second and everything falls perfectly into place. What I love. . . I turn the scale on, place it under the brew head, put a cup on it, wait for it to automatically tare and set to 00.0, start my extraction. When I stop the brew, the shot timer and the final weight display automatically stop at the same time. Perfect.

EXCELLENT espresso scale
This is an amazing espresso scale, it also works well for pour over coffee. I almost regret getting a hario scale for my pourovers because this scale is so versatile. It’s not too sensitive, you can put it in modes where it will tare the cup automatically and detect espresso dripping to engage the timer, it doesn’t budge in weight when the drip tray shakes from the espresso machine building pressure in the portafilter. It’s very accurate. I tried timemore, ecorelax, and some generic Amazon brands in hope of finding something similar to the acaia (not in my price range) and this is by far the best one. Was previously using a scientific greater goods scale with no frills, this is surely an upgrade. My espresso machine is a breville bambino with a eureka mignon notte. Instructions are included, do read them to understand what the two modes do. Highly recommend!

Too lively. We have trust issues.
I've had this scale for six months. First, the things I appreciate about this scale and miss because it no longer works properly. Cover - helps keep it clean and dry. Tare - easy to tare a vital feature for meticulous espresso brewing. Timer - while I don't always use this feature I can accurately sense in my head an appropriate shot, it is very useful for completing the picture of grind, weight, and draw time. USB-C charger - this is convenient and compatible with my cords and chargers. The downside is catastrophic. After about four months, the scale became unstable. Weight readings started bouncing around revealing different weights. It has become impossible to determine any weight. It is fully charged. I'm using the same bean holder - 35g, and expresso cup 70g, neither of which is heavy. It has not been immersed in water but has experienced a limited amount of splash, impossible to avoid when pulling expresso. I need another solution.

High-quality, Accurate, and Instant Feedback
Compared to the other version of this scale, it's exactly the same minus the LED display. The size of the scale sits flat on my Delonghi ECP tray with no overhang and is short enough to fit a normal sized coffee mug under my bottomless portafilter. The scale is super responsive to change and shows you instant feed back as soon as you add or remove weight. Breathing on the scale is enough to set it off. Highly recommended for espresso and pour-over.

Weird charging, otherwise great for the price
First, can’t charge with a USB-C to USB-C cable. Has to be USB-A to USB-C. And the scale has to be set to ‘ON’. I always forget this since it goes months between charges and spend 10-15 minutes trying to figure it out.Otherwise, it’s a great value for the money. Small size fits everywhere. Not water proof, but I’ve had no issues with splash and small amounts of water on it. Consistently accurate to 0.1g compared to reference scales and weights. Calibration hasn’t drifted in a year of use. Auto tare works great with every recipe I’ve tried it with on my Decent. It’s not the nicest scale I’ve ever had, but it’s a step up from most cheap scales. Other than the charging weirdness I have no real complaints.

Works when it works.
I really wanted to like this scale, but I think it was just the price compared to its competitors that enticed me. The battery meter on it doesn’t tell you how much you have left, it just blinks when the battery is low, but does not mark on the battery icon how much you have remaining. When you charge the scale, there is no indicator that it is actually charging, once I left it plugged for over an hour thinking it was charging, but the battery was completely drained. I though having the unit in the “ON” position would help while charging, but again there is no indicator that it is charging. It is really confusing and altogether an inconvenience. Too bad the return window passed before the battery died for the first time, otherwise I would have returned or exchanged it for a different scale.

Finally, A Compact Scale that does espresso right
I have tried many compact scales to fit under my Rancilio Silvia. Several were more expensive than the MiiCoffee Nano and they struggled with the auto-sense function and were returned. They would all count manually, but many times would never sense coffee in the cup and would display zero while the weight showed properly. The only quirk with your model is to go from default PR2 to PR1, the double-click has to be done more than once. Once PR1 shows, it awaits the cup & the tare zeroes out the weight & the "T" symbol shows next to the time display. I begin to brew & both the weight & time increase as they were supposed to. The protective pad is also a nice feature. I was so impressed by a scale that actually works, that I have purchased your tamper, WDT tool & puck screen since. A scale that counts weight & time properly - what a concept! MiiCoffee got it right!
