Samsung dc3 error code wf45k6500av/a2 model
This worked perfectly for my samsung add item washer. My washer kept starting up then sounding like it would get to the part to add water but stop and unlock all the doors. Every once in a while it would throw a dc3 error code but not every time. Sometimes i could hear a whining noise like a little motor was trying to start up by the top if the door/control panel. I took out all the screws around the inside of the door with the door still attached to the body and used a flat head to gently pry the pop tabs apart and took the 2 screws out of the little motor and undid the wire harness, screwed the new one in and clipped the wire harness back on, put the door screws back in and off she went. Worked perfectly for my wf45k6500av/a2 model. Thanks!

Washer works again after dc3 error on Samsung Front Load Washer
My washer is Samsung Model WF45K6200AW/A2. This switched fixed error "dc3" on our machine. The rest of this review is only for those who may be trying to figure out what may be wrong with your machine and our problem mentioned below sounds similar to what you are facing. We were having a problem when our machine stopped working. When we chose the cycle we wanted and hit the Start button, the pump would activate (the machine tests it to make sure it works) and the door would lock and then it would stop without allowing water or the cycle to begin. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with the machine.I thought that maybe the pump was clogged or something was obstructing it. So I took the machine a part and took out the pump and cleaned it and tested the pump motor. It was fine. I tried to test the Water Inlet Valves and it seemed to be fine. I looked at the Control Board at the back on the bottom. I couldn't see anything visually wrong with it although I didn't test anything. I didn't want to simply buy parts and hope I struck gold without knowing what was actually wrong. So I searched online and found out how to run a diagnostic on the Samsung front loader and discovered that our problem was a "dc3" error code which means that the ADD DOOR has a fault and I narrowed it down to this switch.I believe that getting into the diagnostic mode works for different models that have the "Delay End" button on the Digital Control/Display board on the front of the machine. So I will share how to get into diagnostic mode for those who may need it. It really helped us fix the exact problem. This is only for those who may be trying to figure it out and our problem sounds similar to what you are facing. To find the code which may be wrong with your Samsung Machine, you can enter into Diagnostic Mode by turning on your machine and pressing the Delay End button until it shows 17. Then press and hold Start for around 7 seconds until it beeps and shows AS on the display. You can then press start and it will progress through testing each station and function of the machine. The first step is to test the locking mechanisms or switches for the door and small Add door. For me, it didn't progress further than the first step and gave me error code "dc3" which when you look it up means Add Door lock issue. I looked up which switches this machine had in the ADD DOOR area and it has two switches. I saw how another person had an issue with dc3 and this switch fixed it. So I bought it and installed it and it fixed my problem as well. You may need to search how to disassemble your model's door to replace the Add Door Switch.

Fixed my Issue!
This part fixed the issue with my Samsung washer. Unlike a lot of people the washer did not give me a “DC3” error code at first. However, when I would start a cycle the washer would initiate its pre checks (i.e running the pump, checking the main door was closed, etc) but would not actually start the cycle. It would get “stuck” and the cycle would never initiate. I called an appliance repair company and they told me the ADD Wash door lock was broken after running a diagnostic cycle on the machine which finally produced the “DC 3” error code. The technician said the part was on back order with Samsung with no eta on when it would arrive. I did a quick search and came upon this part which fixed my issue.Installation was simple, just a few screws in the back side of the door which needed to be removed. After that I used a flat head screw driver to gently pry the back plastic housing from the door, the back housing held on using plastic clips. 2 screws hold the door lock to the door and a wiring harness which needs to be unclipped and that was it. Not sure on longevity or quality of the part yet but it fixed my issue.

Fixed DC3 Error On My Samsung Washer ❤️
My Samsung washer had a DC3 error and would not work. Tracked the error code to the Add Door sensor.I had to track down a part number from a Spanish-speaking YouTube video. A quick google search of that part number lead me here to this product on Amazon. My washer was in the list of compatible machines, the price was decent, and I placed the order. The hardest part of the replacement process was separating the door’s two halves in order to get at the add door sensor sandwiched in there at the 12 o’clock position. I used a small jewelry screw driver in two little holes at the bottom of the door. After trying a couple different prying utensils, I took a penny out of my pocket and used it to gently, and quickly, work the two halves apart to access the sensor. It is was held in by two screws and a little wiring harness. The replacement part fit perfectly!!My washer is back in action, and I’m super happy about it. 😁

Fixed Samsung dC3 error code
My washer (Samsung WF45K6200AW) stopped working, it would just lock and unlock and then do nothing. My husband searched videos and found the diagnostic mode to find the dC3 error, and some searching pointed to the add wash door switch malfunctioning (even though I never use it!) I bought this part since it was much cheaper than the OEM replacement. Taking the door apart didn't look easy, but there were notches in the door to separate and then the switch was easily replaced and it fits right in. Now my washer is working again! We'll see how long the switch holds up, but at $34 it's much cheaper than buying a new washer! The picture shows the new replacement switch installed with the original next to it.
