I am a huge fan of beetroot juice. I have had the privilege of trying 4 other organic brands and Red Ace Beet Juice Powder was slightly different. First, the texture is more granulated and crystallized like sugar while other beet drinks were more like a light powder but this brand mixed well, smelled like beets, and had that rich deep burgundy red color that is indicative of organic and natural beets. Perhaps the difference in texture is due the freeze dried process.Second, Red Ace Organic Beet Juice Powder comes with nitric oxide test strips. I received two in the package and they were easy to administer and helpful. This is a great tool to measure the presence of nitric oxide and a means to encourage consumers to add beet juice to their diet to reap the benefits.Third, I drink beetroot juice every morning to start my day and Red Ace gave me the energy boost to get the day started but I didn’t care for the taste. It’s tolerable but not as good as other beet drinks I have consumed. I think its a great quality product but the flavor isn’t as robust as other brands.And finally, Red Ace Organic Beet Juice Powder is a bit expensive for the size of the bag. However after reading the serving size on the bag, it contains 30 servings per package. So at the current $30 price point, it only equates to $1.00 per serving which is reasonable but there is a lot of competition resulting in lower prices for similar quality beetroot powder drinks.Red Ace Beet Juice Powder is a solid product. It works great and helps me feel my best; I would prefer to seek out an organic beetroot product that taste better, works equally well, and gives me more value for my dollar.

I didn’t like the taste.

When the packaging says to keep it in a cool, dry place. This absolutely applies. I'm not sure how after having some for a few days it occurred, but leaving it out on the fridge near my stove ended up turning it into a kind of very thick liquid ooze which I can still use, but it takes getting out with a fork and place in water and waiting, and waiting, and then waiting some more.I don't like the taste too much, and some people may wish to add some salt to it. I have been making beet kvass for some time - beets, salt, water, time - and I prefer the taste of the kvass and believe it is quite a bit healthier and has a cheaper cost. I do understand many don't wish to utilize the labor and may be averse to creating their own fermented type beverages and for them, this is a decent choice for getting the health benefits of one of nature's greatest food items.

This is high quality, 100% pure beet juice powder. It's made from USA-grown beets, and it's certified organic. They claim 90-100mg nitrates per teaspoon (5 grams), making this a very potent source of dietary nitrates and perfect for increasing exercise performance.The beet juice powder itself is excellent. Dissolves easily in water, sweet, not bitter, and tastes almost like fresh beet juice. Be aware that beet juice powder will clump if you don't consume it within a few months.Now, is this product any better than any other less costly organic beet juice powder out there? I don't believe so. It tastes exactly the same as any other beet juice powder I have used before, and while they claim 90-100mg nitrates, it doesn't appear to be standardized or guarantee any % nitrates. So at the end of the day, this is just a certified organic beet juice powder, made from domestic beets.Thoughts:I like that this comes with the nitric oxide test strips, but according to my research, nitric oxide test strips aren't actually accurate for measuring plasma nitric oxide. A recent study I found claims "These results suggest that measures of salivary NO3−, NO2− or NOx are not good indicators of endothelial function." What that means is that salivary nitric oxide only proves you ate a bunch of beets, it doesn't prove your cardiovascular system is functioning better because of it. So at the end of the day, this is simply a high quality beet juice powder supplement. No more, no less - and no better than any other beet juice powder out there.
