Perfect snack for dogs with kidney issues!!!!
These are a wonderful addition my dog's diet! She doesn't seem to like much of her kidney food choices, so I have had a hard time finding things that she will eat and stumbled upon these snacks, and they have been a huge hit! I am so excited that she likes them!

DO NOT BUY
This product is hard with literally no smell and no taste dog won’t even look at it. It looks and smells like cardboard pieces and worst of all it’s not returnable. Money wasted. Bad product.

My Picky Dog Loves These!
I have a 14 yr old Chihuahua/Wired Terrier rescue dog who was recently diagnosed with the beginning of renal failure. He's on prescription medicine and after trial & error, found one he actually jumps up and down for. I bought these treats to try because they are specific to kidney care. I thought they might be hard for my little boy to chomp, but he's so excited to get one and enjoys crunching it up. I will definitely order again and, maybe try another flavor as well.Perhaps offer a varietal bag or sampler so that we can try each to see if our dogs like? I would definitely appreciate that and others might as well.

Breaking them Up for small older dogs.
I’ve been using these for a while for our older dog with early kidney disease. Not all dogs like them for sure - but the dogs we have that do like them - only like bacon. So, we just use bacon only and I would say 3 out of the 5 dogs will eat that flavor.Lastly, 2 of our small senior dogs (6 and 8 lbs )have no teeth. We have long learned with any of these hard type treats to crush them with a lime juicer. We tape the outside of the bottom and they crush up pretty well. Well enough for sure.As for their effectiveness, we made several diet changes including offering these as a treat and our dog’s kidney values much better.

What’s to say? One dog loved them, the other turns up her wee nose.
I was a bit startled that they looked like burned, crumbly coal, but I suppose that’s what charcoal is supposed to look like. Big girl with kidney disease will eat them. But since she does not have a discriminatory palate, it’s hard to tell whether that means much, health-wise.

I have to sneak it into her food. & emailed E-book?
My 15yr old little pup was fine when I left for a 10 day trip, end of October 2022. 1st night one came back, my sweet baby wet her herself whilst she slept. This continued whilst she still remained active & excited for walks… I purchased this because one has a background in Holistic medicine for animals & humans…(I have almost all the herbs listed but so much easier to grab this treat then to keep making a tea to put in her food) I had hoped she would crave these & feel excited when offered them… not so much. One has to crush them up & add them to a bone broth, in which I add healthy veggies & other herbs. She is drinking more than normal, so she laps up the broth.**** The advertisement stated there would be an E-book w/ purchase. I have a lot of knowledge on holistic treatment for animals but one always feels happy to read resources to see if there is something else that can be learnt… but have seen no email w/ this ‘E-book’. ???My 15yr old girl has been receiving the treats for almost a wk (2-3 a day). I’m watching carefully to see a change. I’ve created a fenced in area in the living room w/ pee pee pads as well & put her in at selected times one has seen her have accidents (In case it’s partially behavioural, since she has been use to my being home these past 3yrs). No changes as of yet. She’s still acting energetic & happy… licks her ‘bits’, pees a lot, & drinks are her only symptoms… *I know what I am doing in regards to treatment*I highly recommend fur parents to go to holistic veterinarians to get a blood work up. I’ve seen too many non-holistic veterinarians cause unnecessary deaths by wrongly & over medicating fur-babies.The herbs listed in this treat DO work… My pup just doesn’t seem excited to eat them & it is not listed how much of each herb is in each treat. That is important.

Healthy, Great Value and Smell
I have had these wonderful treats for about five days now. I found them when I was looking for something healthier than the usual stuff for my senior dog, Blake. I was looking for a treat that contained astragalus, which these do, because it has been around for years and has been proven beneficial for several ailments, including kidney and heart problems. Now Blake, my dog, is getting up there in years. He has some issues with arthritis. And earlier this year, I became concerned with his urinary health — not drinking enough water, not always being available to take him outside — those sorts of things. And the astragalus, which is in the treats, reduces joint inflammation, so I decided to go with them.I am happy to report that he is doing well; he loves the treats! And I have to say: I love the value.First, they smell amazing! Maybe it’s the fall weather and the fact that they contain cranberry and pumpkin, but they fit the definition of “treat time” for my pup. Their scent reminds me of Fig Newtons — it constantly makes me hungry. As for the value, as I said, the bag is large, absent of empty unused spaced. And it reseals nicely. The treats vary in size — they are handmade — but they are sturdy and intact, not like a bag of broken potato chips. They have great size. (as shown in my photos) They are hard but soften-up nicely with water like the label recommends. All and all, I highly recommend them. I will certainly be repurchasing these treats.

Bag is packed full
The bag is crammed full of the treats, so I am certain you are getting your money's worth of the product. However, my dog is an older dog and cannot (in spite of the hint of the bag suggestion of soaking the product in water for a few minutes which does nothing for the flavor evidently) eat them they are so extremely hard. None of our 3 dogs will eat them. I will have to see about returning them unfortunately.
