EZ-106(14mm-1.5) EZ Oil Drain Valve with removable L-Shape Hose End Combo

This EZ-106 valve is well made and worked perfectly for my 2012 F450 6.7L truck. The elbow can be adjusted however a person wishes. The valve comes with an O-ring seal and seals well against the oil pan. Couple of things to note: 1. The valve may or may not end up with the valve head in the vertical position. It will depend on the starting thread location in your oil pan. Nothing can be done to change that. If you over tighten it to make it straight up, you run a strong risk of stripping threads either on the valve or the oil pan, or worse, break the valve. It is what it is. 2. If you are worried about accidentall valve actuation, install a clamp aound the valve head above the valve handle. You could use an appropriately sized spring clamp or, as I did, a standard worm type hose clamp. No need to spend the money on the plastic clip insert. I have owned these style valves for over 3 decades and put them on my cars, pick ups, heavy equipment and haul trucks. I have never had a problem with them. The convenience astronomically outweighs the minimal risk. No mess oil changes other than the filters. These valves are nickel plated brass and are high quality. Not some slow boat lowest bidder fly by night reverse engineered garbage copy.

These are a game changer when comes to changing your own oil. I now have these on all my vehicles including my tractor. I simply slip a hose on the valve, turn it on, and drain my oil into a bucked without any spils.

Drain plug works great, no tools to open and close. Have had on my vehicle for over a year and no leaks.

The item were a little to big and would not secure. I tried every time I change my oil and could not get it to work. I email for assistance but none received. 2006 Acura MDX Navigation

For a shade tree like me this item is a good purchase. Its a little on the steep end but it can save you a little mess if you are working in your yard. The weight of thirteen quarts of oil creates a lot of pressure an flow to catch in an oil drain pan without overshooting or filling to fast and overflowing. This drain plug/spout allow for a 90 deg straight down drain and it slows down the flow significantly. It increases the drain time but like I said, shade tree. If you are not in a hurry I would suggest this product.

Valve handle is stiff from spring tension (was afraid it would be like a normal ball valve) and has a locking notch to vkeep it closed. Works great and made oil changes way easier and cleaner ….. cars should come from the factory with valves like these for all major fluid drain ports
