I ordered this product to complete my Christmas Nativity project. It’s easy to work with although a little messy. Make sure to have a vacuum handy if you’re cutting inside. One drawback is that the fullness is only achieved towards the end of each strand and the grain only runs one way. For my application, I have a bare spot on one end as you can see in the pictures. The good thing is that I have extra material which will allow me to “graft” some extra strands to fill in the “bald” spots using hot glue. The backing seems to be just tough enough to hold it all together but if you fold it it will crack and create black flakes of material. The way the strands are attached to the backing is uniform and you can part the straw to find your grid allowing you to cut without drawing any lines.It worked for my project and I hope it works for yours.

It's a bit on the dark side but worked well as hay in a manger for a Christmas play.

Our tiki bar needed a new roof covering and this was perfect. Easy to cut to the size we need. It has been in a few bad storms and still holding up great.

I like that it is authentic.

I am still waiting on last part of order to complete my job.I am buying the bullet and hoping to get a season out of this cheap product.You will still need to lay down underlayment roofing material. If you are thinking the underneath tarp like material will be sufficient to protect your roof that will be a huge mistake.Did I mention that I am still waiting on my last part of the order? And it started raining yesterday and I had already taken off previous thatch since my order was to be delivered Friday. It is now Sunday and can you trust that now they say delivery will be three days after initial delivery date?

Started to rain, so I had to stop working the project. Converting our patio cover to an island hut. The product is extremely durable, flexible with nice grass coloring. I am planing on stitching the roof together with monofilament line using carpet needles. Overlapping sections as you would any roofing shingle materials. I am also planning to use zipties for anchoring to existing roof supports.

I don’t know who are these people who say that it looks realistic I’ve been in events all my career and this product is so Fake and cheap quality it is appalling . It went direct to the garbage can 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
