Does what it says on the tin
Don’t read or look if you disagree with mouse traps. (Yvonne Shearer and Meganne Shearer no offence like)One not so sunny Sunday the mother of the house decided to take out her actifry from under the sink to produce wonderfully healthy home made chips. Little did she expect, having had packed the actifry away the previous Sunday, to find that a wretched little mouser mcmouse face would play havoc with Sunday dinner plans. On removing the actifry from cupboard the mother noticed some mouse poop in the corner of the cupboard - oh dear must give the kitchen gadget an extra sterilisation before attempting to produce any food thought mother. Only to open up the actifry to find the fidget spinning mouse has nibbled away at the seal round the handle of the actifry. Oh nonsense this is no use. Mother shall have to dump the health hazard now.Ah but having another sensible thought the actifry can indeed be sterilised and maybe but maybe some spare parts can be found on Amazon. Unfortunately amazon yielded no answers but the tefal website promised a part for £14.60 or so that would ensure the family could go on using their healthy air frier assuming appropriate sanitisation could take plus post mousey mcmouse face invasion.Alas what should be done about dratted mouse ? The newly house embedded cat appears to take them through to the bedroom live and let them go so he could NOT be trusted.Back to Amazon and Victor clean killMouse trap £5.99 next day delivery to prime customers - BOOM. As soon as the father of the house had finished his, super quick, ( coz I have to go and rescue a bus) dinner mother proclaimed he must investigate the mouse trap. For the love of scones the mousey mc mouse face has managed to evade the snap bag wallop of the trap by attempting to get the bait by eating the plastic around it. RAGE.Father re sets the trap after some step by step guidance from mother who is trying to avoid touching it whilst serving up children’s dinner.9.15 pm. Father of the house still out rescuing a bus. Mice steer clear of these and none have been caught in them.
I very much liked the design of these traps and the idea of them, but most sadly have not caught a single mouse with them! Buying others since, with a traditional open style has had almost instant results.I don't know if our local mice are reincarnations of those who lived during the French Revolution and the similarity with Madame Guillotine has put them off, or if the narrow black style has put them off, but perhaps the makers need to have rethink on the design etc. Previous closed traps that we had that were a bit larger and white did their job quite well, but for some reason don't seem to be in production any more.

Clean kill
It's a very clean way of getting rid of mice and it kills instantly you can use it more than once and easy to set up I tried peanut butter but didn't work so used Nutella and it works really well and you can't see the animal only a bit of the tail good price

Not near squirrels
We discovered pretty quickly after moving into new House we have a mouse nest 3 feet from patio door and with having 2 toddlers I ordered these traps. All went well the first couple of nights and caught mice, they were v easy to dispose of and I could see easily if there was a mouse in them. The mice then started playing games, I watched them enter the traps and come back out again then move them around the decking. 5 days later and all traps have been stolen by squirrels! So I would say I would not recommend for outdoors if you have squirrels nearby but probably a good choice for indoors.

Effective
I have a couple of places where I feed my garden hedgehogs and of course this does present the issue of food lying around. One of the hedgehog feeding places is close to my house whilst the other is in the garden well away among the trees and bushes.Unfortunately, the one close to my house started to attract mice and whilst I'm not anti-mouse, I certainly did not want them migrating into my garage and house. They had to go.So I bought these. I did so because they are safe for other non mouse sized animals in that they are a small tunnel that really only a mouse can get into. No risk to my spikey chums. I also did not want to use poison in case the mice were eaten and passed this on to other animals. The are very easy to set up. Simply pull back the rear door to put some food on, close and then set the guillotine kill bar by lifting it up. My petite wife did this as I work overseas. This is an advantage over the traditional type spring kill bar. Almost no chance of getting your fingers caught and this might be a particularly useful thing if you have small children around. My wife then set a few of these around and waited for the mouse to fall foul of these. And it took a while. Because the mouse was going into the small hedgehog house there was plenty of food around that was clearly more interesting than the bait she used.Once all the other stuff was removed the mouse then decided that the trap was a great place for a bit of a feed and in it went to be dispatched.Couple of things. I note that some people have said the mice were not interested. That's about the bait you use. I did a bit of Googling and YouTubeing and it seems that peanut butter is the choice of professionals. Mice love the stuff.Secondly the actual killing is not quite instant. I suspect that because of the design which is safe for children and pets, the actual spring isn't as heavy as it could be. I have a camera in my hedgehog house so my wife and I can watch when Spiney does his rounds and of course could see the mouse. When it went into the trap and activated it, I reckon it took a couple of seconds to do the job which isn't quite the instant kill you get from the more traditional type.Overall though an effective and safe mouse killer.
