iProven Basal Body Thermometer with Backlight & Big Digits, 1/100 Degree High Precision, BBT for Ovulation Tracking, 30 Memory Recall, Accurate Fertility Temperature Tracker

I was able to try both thermometers, so here's my feedback that will hopefully be useful for the next person. I originally ordered the thin thermometer but there was an issue so then I tried the one with the bigger screen. If I had to choose between the two, I would prefer the thin thermometer.The thin thermometer is your regular, basic bbt thermometer. To use, you turn it on, it beeps, then stick it under your tongue, all the way to the back (on either the right or left side), when you first wake up in the morning. It's best to have at least 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep for the best accuracy. Then it beeps twice, and then you can remove it from your mouth. You would then log your temp and the time on your bbt chart. If you wake up and it's still dark, you'll need to use a light source like the light from your phone screen to see the numbers. You can also just read your temp later on in the day when you're more awake because the thermometer remembers your last reading, but be sure to note the time that you took your temp.The bigger screen thermometer is more for someone who prefers to read bigger numbers with a backlight. You won't need a light source to see the numbers because it's already built in. The beeping sound is also louder. I wake up early when it's still dark so I did find the backlight blinding and the beep startling when I'm still groggy from waking up first thing in the morning. To resolve the light issue, I just flip the thermometer down. I haven't found a fix around the louder beep yet. Hope this helps!

Update 11/7/24:This company was super great to work with. They saw my complaints, and sent me an upgraded version of their thermometer to try. It works great! It lights up, the numbers are large, and the button is easy to press. And it's easy to look back later at the temperature that was taken to record later if I want to do it that way. The customer service was top notch, so I would order from them again now.Original review:I wouldn't order this again. I didn't realize that the temperature doesn't light up. So since I'm using it for taking BBT first thing in the morning before getting up, it's dark, and I can't see the temperature. So then I have to come back later to actually record the temperature. I don't like the way you have to hold the button down in order to get the prior reading instead of it just showing it like others usually do. Also, pushing the button is kind of difficult. I wish it was a bigger button. I also question the accuracy a bit since it measures way different than the other thermometer I had. I got it to have more precise measurement since my other one only measured to one decimal point, but this one will measure at least .5 degrees off from other other one.

This digital basal thermometer works excellently —it's accurate, reliable, and easy to use. However, there are two small drawbacks. First, the lack of a backlight makes it a bit tricky to read in the dark, especially first thing in the morning. I’d recommend the backlight version for easier use. Second, the power button is a bit hard to press, which can be inconvenient. Aside from these minor issues, it's a great thermometer!

I ordered the smaller one a few weeks back. That was really not worth it. Very convenient to use. So I posted a review according to my experience and the team reached out to me promptly. They not only refunded the one I bought, but ordered the bigger one for me free of cost. And let me tell you, the new one is amazing! It is very accurate, very easy to use and looks sturdy. I cannot tell you enough about the product. The reading takes about a minute, but is stored for future. Decent size screen and backlighting make it very easy to read everything. It's worth every penny. A must try!

My wife purchased this to track her temperature each morning. It worked well for one year, then stopped working. The company promptly heard her concerns and quickly sent her a new thermometer. The brightness is easy to see first thing in the morning and the beeps are more quiet in comparison to other thermometers.

Pros: it does exactly what it's meant to do. The temperature reading of the thermometer is accurate, storage case is convenient, and it's an affordable option for a mid quality BBT thermometer.Cons: function button to turn on/off is extremely stiff and tricky to press (especially in a sleepy morning daze), there is no glow or light which makes reading the temperature difficult for those of us who wake before the sun.

I loved that this thermometer was inexpensive for basal temp tracking. I thought it was great because I didn’t know if I’d even want to keep tracking, so I didn’t care much outside of the cost.That being said, the thermometer is great if you’re just looking for a quick temp to chart a pattern, not so great if you’re looking for accuracy. Since my original purchase, I’ve purchased other basal thermometers that will give close temps to each other but will give a whole degree difference to this one. If all of the others are .05 to each other and this one is going in the left field with a 1.00, I’m gonna have to call shenanigans on the “accuracy”.Overall, the temp comes up quick, the display is easy enough to read, and it was easy to clean. It was not physically comfortable to use, especially in my mouth. I wouldn’t buy it again, but if you’re looking to dabble there are worse options.EDIT: I changed my review to 5 stars. The company reached out to me and offered a refund, but they also offered me another thermometer. The new one is just as accurate as the most expensive basal thermometer I have while the original thermometer I had ordered is still inaccurate. There must have been something faulty with the first one I received.

Works well. Came with replacement battery. Takes a very long time to read temperature and the completion beep is quite loud. The screen does not light up so if you get up early before it is light out it’s difficult to check temperature while still in bed.
