Convenient way to add mushroom flavor
This Chanterelle powder adds a nice mushroom flavor to just about anything you cook it in. It's an especially good add if you have a dish that already has mushrooms but they're just not forward enough for you. How much you add will depend on what you're cooking, but I found a well rounded teaspoon per 2-3 servings was a good start for something that didn't already have mushrooms in it.When I added some to already cooked beef rice-a-roni, the added mushroom flavor was enjoyable but I found the rice had a bit of grittiness to it. That was surprising to me considering how finely powdered this is, but I confirmed it using another with and without comparison. I conclude that this powder needs some time in liquid to fully soften up.I'm looking forward to trying this on pizza since I think the flavors will go well together. There's also a universal sauce recipe on the back of the package that looks interesting. I'm sure this is going to find it's way into lots of my cooking.

I have ordered this product 3 times. This is the 3rd time I have questions: 1. Last time I received a product that was more yellow in color. The last time the taste is worse and has some inclusions that crunch on the teeth. 2. The product information states that chanterelle mushrooms are dried in the sun. If this is so, then chanterelles lose some of their beneficial properties. They should not be dried in DIRECT RAYS OF THE SUN. I do not claim professionalism, but only indicate my point of view and experience.

Great taste booster
It took a while but I finally got the chance to make some mushroom risotto with this powder and it worked perfectly. It had a rich mushroomy taste that was fuller that just the whole mushrooms we added. The bag is nicely resealable so hopefully it will all stay nice and fresh and we can be adding mushroom to soups and casseroles for months to come.Can't say that I got this for health benefits, just taste, but I'm glad it has some.

Disappointed
It darkened my sauce, very bitter and full of sand. Threw in a garbage, impossible to eat. Bought in March, cook in June, tried second time from other bag in July- sadly the same. Disappointed.

Looks and tastes like Chanterelle should
This organic mushroom powder looks and tastes like Golden Chanterelle to me. It has the right color and the mildly peppery note I expect Chanterelle to have, but the packaging is a bit confusing.I think it's Chanterelle Mushroom powder, but the back of the label says it's "100% European, hand milled, Organic Chanterelle Powder, from premium quality wild grown, hand picked, sun-dried porcini mushrooms." This powder has neither the strong aroma, nor the color of porcini mushrooms however, so I believe it's simply a labelling error.Tastes like Chanterelle powder to me, so I made mushroom risotto in my instant pot and added some in to offset the blandness of the button mushrooms I had, and it definitely kicked the flavor up a notch!This powder is going to be useful for many of the things I like to make. I can add it to gravy for my roasts, add it to beef soup stock, enhance chicken gravy with it, or make creamy Chanterelle sauces to go over gnocchi or pasta. Fresh mushrooms go bad if not used quickly, so having this in powder form is much more convenient!

I agree with other reviewers that the packaging is confusing (there are occasional references to porcini within the descriptions, but the pictures and the main labeling says chanterelle). But I am happy with this find! The powder is definitely different than most mushroom powders that I've gotten before (e.g. even basic items like the mushroom seasoning salt from TJs). It's been a nice addition to cooking projects (ideally things that have some creaminess or fats to help meld the flavor). I think you get a generous amount of powder and the resealable low-profile packaging is handy. Planning to also potentially incorporate some of this powder into some immunity-focused tinctures in the future.

I trust that this is Chanterelle Powder
I really like the extra flavor boost from this powder, and in particular the home made seasoning recipe on the back with the mushroom powder, salt, pepper and garlic powder. This is an excellent addition to my spice rack and quite unique. I recommend this chanterelle powder!

Chanterelles or porcinis?
I’m glad I came across this mushroom powder since I didn’t even know it existed and it adds a nice boost of flavor to so many dishes. I’m happy with the product, but the description is confusing. The product says it is chanterelle mushroom powder, but the ingredients list also mentions porcini mushrooms. Which is it? They’re different mushrooms. It makes me question other aspects of the product description too.With that said, the mushroom powder has a rich and earthy flavor that would go well with soups, sauces, and even scrambled eggs. I tried adding this to my normal mushroom risotto and it kicked the flavors up a few notches. I also added a little bit to a mushroom cream sauce to go along with pasta and it was delicious.I would recommend this chanterelle powder for anyone who loves mushrooms and is looking for a way to add a quick boost of flavor to their dishes with very little effort!
