Can be used to switch Autoguider input between 2 cameras
I am using this to switch the telescope's autoguider input between the autoguider output of two cameras. This allows me to choose to autoguide from a separate guide scope or from the main telescope's On Axis Guideport. Although the signal levels are not what would be found in telephone technology, the switch doesn't care and works just fine.

Worked perfectly!
I needed a way to connect 2 different fax machines to the same phone line. This little guy was just the ticket. With the press of a button, I can choose which fax I want to use. A+++

Does what I want it to do
Like one of the other reviewers here, all I wanted to have this device do was make it easy for me to turn my phone "off" when I went to bed and turn it back "on" when I woke up. It does this easily with the press of a button. It takes 4 seconds for the phone to switch back and forth. This device makes it so I don't have to disconnect the wire each night and plug it back in, in the morning. After a while the clips break off the phone line and you're buying a new phone line every couple of months. Solid unit, instillation is easy, couldn't be happier.

Looks Great, Works Well, BUT you have to be careful
I leave my all-in-1-printer/scanner/fax on all the time (it sleeps) and my cordless phone is always on. Needed a splitter that was "switchable" between fax/printer and the cordless phone base so that I could switch to "1" for fax, and then switch back to "2" for phone. I ran a RJ11 cable from my VOIP box (OOMA) to the IN/OUT rj11 port of this splitter. The line out of the fax is plugged into port 1 (left button) and the cordless base plugs into port 2 (right button). It works, press 1 to fax, press 2 when done.Pros:1. Looks much better than all the beige, white, light green, metal box/mechanical switches that are near this price point.2. With other mechanical switchers, when I switched to fax while the all in one printer/fax was turned on - the noise it created made the printer think a fax was coming in and started to auto receive the noise. Good to report that this switcher generated NO noise during the switching operation.Cons:1. The RJ11 ports are very tight, had to press in very hard to get the locking tabs to click in. Expected a smooth easy operation and it wasn't. Pressed with fingernails on each side of plug to gradually seat the locking tab because I was worried about pressing too hard and breaking the port.2. Once RJ11 cables were locked in, even harder to get back out. Just trying to press the locking tab with your finger while gently pulling the plastic RJ11 plug would not work - would not unlock. Pliers wouldn't help - not enough of the plug hanging out to grab. The solution was to press only on the tab side as hard as you can and force the plug to angle slightly and you finally could hear it unclick/unlock. Then you could use the cable to assist in pulling out the RJ11 plug along with grabbing the plastic on either side of the rj11 plug with fingers. Careful not to use the cable alone to extract the plug - it's so tight you could pull the cable out of the rtj11 plug and then you would be in trouble.3. You have to press very firmly on the buttons to get them to switch, and I wonder how long they will last or if there is just a "break" in period. (Didn't take off anything for this). It would seem to me that all the above problems could be fixed if the RJ11 sockets on the splitter were not so deep so that more of the RJ11 cable/plug was exposed allowing you to extract the cable/plug easier. OR, the RJ11 socket could be slightly wider and taller to not bind so tightly on the RJ11 plugs. Because of #1 and #2 Cons above, I took off 1 star and left this with a 4 star rating.

Great Product
I use this splitter at my desk and it allows me to switch between phone and fax. I use to just switch the plug but damaged it one time and decided to do something more permanent

Works great for my charge controller!
I'm using this with my midnite solar classic charge controller to allow me to have an SMA inverter controlling the charge controller. It allows me to use one graphics panel at the charge controller and one inside my house. Just have to remember to set it back to the one inside the house after I use it out in the shed each time. Works great for that purpose!
