New German Stainless 74 PCS Oral Dental Extraction EXTRACTING Elevators Forceps

So far the instruments have survived being sterilized in the autoclave with no visible damage. Some of the instruments are not suitable for long term use in a dental office (IE the knife blade holders, some of the more bulky forceps)...but generally they appear functional and are well constructed. No complaints so far. The elevators are designed better than my brand name instruments (more functional and less bulky at the tip). This may indicate easier bending of the instrument in tough situations but it seems to lend it self to better finesse with extraction situations. I bought these as a home kit and have been running them multiple times through an autoclave to test the steel quality.

Decent quality for the price, But be aware that this is not all "German Steel" marked stuff. Some is marked Pakistan and nothing else, Some are CynaMed, And some are marked German. There are not 74 pieces of instruments, There are 34, The other 40 are scalpel blades, So technically they aren't wrong with the description, You just have to read everything that is included. You get what is pictured, And 40 blades. These are good for a SHTF situation where there are no Dentists around, But you aren't going to be opening your own dental business with these. If you are going to be getting these for a SHTF scenario, I would recommend getting the book "Where there is no Dentist" by Murray Dickson, And a copy of the "Oxford handbook of clinical Dentistry" to go along with it, As well as some good gauze, Sutures(PRACTICE!) and antiseptic.

You know that you have really gone down the prepping rabbit-hole when you start buying surgical equipment. In my ever-expanding quest to prepare for the ultimate SHTF scenario, I found myself obsessively studying dentistry. (Only after practicing other minor-major surgical procedures) So, of course I needed some quality tools for this endeavor. Well, leave it to the Germans to come through on this. I don’t know what half of this stuff is, let alone how to use it, but I am more than confident now that when the need arises, I can seriously mess up someone’s smile!This appears to be very high quality, legitimate and professional grade equipment. Bring on the zombies, I am ready to fix their teeth!
