Great phone, great price.
I’d read many other reviews that seemed very mixed, let me lend my experience. This is a lovely phone that delivers a smack of nostalgia. Is it as good as the original -NO! It’s lighter, it’s not as well finished and feels slightly plastic - BUT - I don’t tend to walk around with a phone connected to the wall! Sat on a side board it looks fantastic, the sound is great, the little ping before it rings, it takes me back to my childhood. We went for this push button as it is so much easier for my young children in the event of emergency, it still looks great. I really do recon this phone, I am a very satisfied customer.

Great phone
This phone works with the new BT non-copper wifi 'smart voice' system as well as the copper wire traditional phone system. For us, it plugs into the back of the wifi router (takes a few seconds, and you have to make sure the cables are firmly clicked in.) GPO staff were amazingly helpful when I called them prior to the purchase to ask some questions, and I'm really impressed with their customer service. I had panicked that the new BT wifi system meant we couldn't use a stylish phone (we got cut off for a bit), but this new GPO phone both looks retro and cool and also works with the new set-up. Really simple. Recommended for anyone that likes a straightforward and stylish retro phone that looks great in any interior and works in a really simple way, either via the copper phone line or via the router.

I do really like this phone
I really like this phone - I like the fact that it looks so nice and works well. The convenience of push button is great and you can hardly tell it isn't dial. The two annoyances is that it is not hugely loud - so have it on max - which is OK. Related - the vol control does not take it a notch higher. Overall, however, I am really really pleased I bought this and thought it great value ...

Fantastic quality phone
This phone is brilliant. I bought it to replace a BT premium cordless phone because with minimum usage the rechargeable batteries needed replacing too often. This replica GPO phone looks the business and the call quality is excellent! Much clearer call quality than the BT cordless.I like this phone because the ring is authentic but in my opinion not too loud which is perfect. It’s also not very heavy and cumbersome which is a bonus. I’m so pleased with it and to know it will work if there is a power cut.

Nice Vintage Looking Phone
Lovely to use a comfortable handset! If you like to chat for hours-this is the phone for you. The voice volume is a bit loud and not adjustable but thats a minor niggle. The old style ringer can be heard all over the house (a comforting sound from my childhood : ) Another great thing is that it requires no power supply to work. I live in an older house, and people visiting assume this phone has always been in the house (until they see the push buttons!) Will shortly buy another, in a less business-like colour for upstairs.

Great little phone.
Bought this as a small present for the home as our cordless had packed up. Great device plugs into the Wifi Modem no hassle. Works perfectly for what we need and looks lovely.

LOOKS GREAT BUT NEITHER END OF CONVERSATION CAN BE HEARD OVER CONSTANT CRACKLE SOUND
Phone looks the part, but unfortunately it's extremely difficult for either party to hear much of the conversation over the constant loud crackling sound.I would have sent it back for a refund, if not for BT delaying installation of my phone line, (they failed to attend first 2appointments). As a result, I was unable to test the phone out within the time period required to send it back.Okay if you want a pricey ornament, not okay if you want a usable phone.

Hard to recommend
I find it hard to recommend this phone. Cosmetically it looks the part, very stylish and gives a strong retro and nostalgia feel. I also like that it is touch tone dialling, which is much easier than the old rotary phones with pulse dialling. The call quality also seems good enough for me, and there is an option to increase the volume of the handset, though I found the normal setting just fine. However what lets it down, in my opinion, is the ringer is too quiet. There is also no option to alter the volume of the ringer as there is with the handset. I guess the volume is limited by the size of the bell.I'm lucky enough to have an original rotary phone and the ringer is much louder on that handset. I also find the tone of the bell on this modern equivalent is off compared to my original.Pros- touch tone dialling- call quality is fine- looks greatCons- ringer is too quiet. You'll struggle to hear it from other parts of the house- tone of the bell is off compared to the original, or at least compared to the original rotary phone that I have. All in all I find it difficult to recommend this phone, especially at full price. I'd get a refurbished model or wait for a sale.
