This door hinge mortiser jig is a neat tool. It is simple to use, simply measure where you want the hinges on the door, screw this jig to the door, select rounded edges or square by flipping a small fender over. The jig comes with the bit for the router, the self-centering hole bit, and a depth gage built in. Everything snaps together so nothing gets lost. This is much more functional than my old Stanley kit. I recommend it!

I have never hung a door before, but with this jig and a trim router I was able to get everything lined up and where it needed to be in 20 minutes. worked great for a DIYer, however if I was a professional contractor I would want something with a bit more rigid features like metal knobs, etc. I like that it holds all the accessories needed to line up the hinge screws, the router bit, and the curve guide. Well worth the money.

It even has a built-in depth gauge on the side. This is the neatest hinge cutting tool and makes your doors look so profession– sure beats using a chisel! It also comes with a self centering hinge bit, your router bit, and a double ended screwdriver bit. It’s a really nice kit for the price considering what all you get. I would highly recommend it.
