Insane value
I just purchased this knife 2 days ago and am already loving it. First off, the packaging is great. It comes in a soft-sided case similar to one for sunglasses with a zipper closure, product information, warranty card, care instructions, and a couple stickers. The knife itself is very lightweight, but sturdy. The upgraded nitro-v steel from its predecessor makes for a very durable blade, and comes sharp out of the box. The handle is grippy and has great texture, but is not overdone. I also love the button lock over the predecessor's liner lock. The new button lock adds a little bit of thickness, but they recessed the pocket clip into the handle to make it roughly as slim as the original Elementum. The action is extremely smooth, and if you enjoy fidgeting with your knives, it's very fun. Arguably, the quality of this knife with a $65 price tag makes this one of the best value EDC knives on the market.

Worth twice the price!
I have been a knife collector my entire life. I have very expensive knives, and I have very inexpensive knives. I was also a columnist for a knife-centered outdoor magazine. I like to think that I know knives and cutlery pretty well. That being said, I've been looking at this knife for a while now. Finally, I pulled the trigger, and I'm glad I did. The Elementum II is a budget friendly knife from Civivi, whose parent company is WE Knives out of China. WE is known as a premier brand, making excellent quality knives of all types, and using premium materials to do so. Civivi has been a very successful brand for them. Consistent quality and excellent workmanship are baked into the brand, and they are using very good steel in their offerings. The Elementum II uses Nitro V steel, which is better than D2, on par with AEB-L, and maybe just a hair under S30V. That puts it into the category of a very good quality steel for a mass-manufactured knife. Of course there are better steels from custom knife makers, but you'll pay ten times more for it. With the Elementum II, you get a 3" drop point blade, G-10 handle scales, a button lock, and a caged ceramic ball-bearing. When closed, the locking mechanism applies enough force to hold the blade closed without impeding the ability to open it using the flipper stud. The blade locks open securely. There is absolutely no play or give when it's locked open. It opens smoothly with a satisfying click. The tension on the button is just right, requiring enough pressure so that you won't accidentally press it when using it, but not so much pressure to close it that your thumb indents. The scales are very slightly rounded on the edges to give a very comfortable grip. The pocket clip is a deep-carry style and doesn't interfere with a tight grip on the knife. I chose the green scales with a black blade. The finish on the blade is excellent. There are no chips, streaks, or smudges. Mine had a very slight bit of oil near the pivot, which is exactly what you want to see. The bevel was perfectly even on both sides of the blade, and it came sharp enough to shave with. There is no writing or stamping on the blade or scales, save for a "C" embossed on the pivot pin. It has an overall clean look and a classic design. The weight is perfect. You feel it in your hand, but your pocket isn't weighed down by it. I would easily pay $150 for this knife and feel like I got a good deal. By way of comparison, the original Elementum had thinner scales and a liner lock instead of a button lock. I much prefer button locks. This just a homerun for Civivi. I look forward to reviewing more of their knives in the future.Note: I bought this knife with my own money, and no one asked me to write this review. I have never been in contact with the company.

Nitro-V Blade Peak Quality
A little shipping error at the start but that was quickly corrected by amazon! Once the knife arrived I was excited to get it out. Civivi is a great knife company especially for budget knives. This knife comes with a button lock and nitro-v steel blade which is perfect for everyday cutting, edge retention and corrosion resistance. While I meant to pickup the 14C28N blade, the nitro-v blade has gone well beyond my expectations, will be using this a lot in my edc rotation, perfect length not to big but not to small, perfect for just about anything.

Great Everyday Knife
Very happy with this purchase. Knife clips nicely in my front jeans pocket for everyday wear. No issue with the strength of the clip at all - very sturdy. Opens and closes with one hand easily. The black finish is very good with no signs of wear yet. Came wicked sharp! Good value.

Worth It!
Outstanding. The button lock was slightly sticky to start, but it was fine. The bearings are too good. No resistance on open, but I wish there were a little resistance on close; sometimes the blade hits the bottom and bounces back a little. It is mostly learning. The build quality is excellent. Tight tolerances, properly centered blade, no wobble when locked. Again, mine feels extra solid because of the handle material. No flaws visible in close inspection. It arrived impeccably clean. quality all around. The finish on the blade is very uniform and pleasing to me.The handle is premium and I am glad I paid extra for it. The material is extra dense and a little grippy. I find it to feel nice in my hand. The blade is premium. It came very, very sharp. I was able to sharpen to shaving sharp with a minimum of effort. It has stayed sharp through daily use cutting boxes, open things, etc, it stays sharp long enough between sharpening. The Nitro-V steel is a high performer for a medium price. I am impressed with its hardness and sharpenablity. I don't care much about corrosion resistance and have no opinion there. The action is very flippy and it makes a great fidgeter. I got it because easy one hand opening is a must for me, and I am not disappointed. The only easier openers have springs. This is a premium knife up to the price asked. There are much better knifes, but not at this price point. This is the most expensive pocket knife I have ever owned, but it is so satisfying that I am cursing myself for being cheap on my first few tries. At this point, I am open to even more expensive knives now that I know what I have been missing.
