This appears to be good quality Biochar at a great price. Before mixing with your soil, it is recommended to mix it with something like compost for 30 days first. This is because the biochar will suck the nutrients from your soil otherwise. This makes it more fertile and better for mixing with your soil. The biochar helps with things like water retention and soil compactness. Its does function well in this regard. It’s not the cleanest to work with, so be sure to work outside or over a mat. Also, wear protection like gloves, and clean up well afterwards. Don’t breathe it in, you may want to even wear a mask to avoid respiratory problems.This Biochar works as it should and is a great value compared to others. There’s a lot of Biochar compacted into these bags, you get your monies worth for sure. If you need Biochar, I highly recommend this brand. They also make a biochar/compost blend that is premixed in advance, that may be a better choice for some people. Thanks!

This product is wonderful and works great. My plants love it! Bag is somewhat small but I find price to be in line with the industry. Support your local garden center when you can, but this is a great when you can't get there.

Seems like a good product and nice quality, but there are some inconsistencies in consistency. Some big chunks that are the size of coal chunks sometimes is not what your looking for when using it for potting seed

I used this product to get rid of blight on a large apple tree. I "charged" the biochar with worm castings and clove powder, along with coffee grounds and banana peels. Watered in with a diluted clove essential oil. Then we sprayed the tree with hydrogen peroxide (my husband got on the roof to do this). No trace of the blight this year!!! Looking forward to apple harvest.

I added the soil conditioner to our sandy soil when transplanting a potted plant. Results may take months to notice

Great additive for your plants and flower garden. Just wish it was a little bigger for the value.

Great stuff, easy to mix

I live in a sandy soil area so I would add a quarter cup to each plant as I planted the yard. 3 years later-I can really see the difference in the plants that received the Biochar & those plants that didn’t.
