The best Bluetooth earpiece I know
This is my platronics 5200 Bluetooth earpiece. I know y'all are asking what the yellow is on the earpiece. After a couple of years of very hard use and a lot of sweat the rubber started cracking and coming apart right there but because this earpiece is so amazing I took Teflon tape and wrapped it to where it now holds firm. It's still a heck of a lot more comfortable then the can ambo earpiece I bought as a replacement so I've tucked my new earpiece in the drawer and I'm using my old one until it doesn't work anymore and hopefully by then I can afford to get a new one. It's well worth the value for the money just drop more on the back right now it charges quickly and lasts approximately a little bit over 6 hours. The wait is real life you don't even know that you're wearing it yet it is heavy duty. It is the easiest Bluetooth earpiece to use that I have ever run across. I wish I could have afforded to buy a new one but I didn't have the money to be able to do so. But the platronics is well worth the money! Personally I enjoy the 5200 it comes with a neat little charging case it is a lightweight unit but heavy duty Electronics on the inside. I can walk approximately 100 ft away from my phone and still be able to talk on it through this wonderful earpiece.

The Voyager 5200 used to be an amazing product - Not anymore.
I purchased a Voyager headset for the first time about 15 years ago. It was amazing. I remember standing at a train stop as the train pulled in and asking the person I was speaking with on the phone if they could hear anything in the background. They told me it sounded like I was just in a room alone somewhere!I've worked in various office environments where there are other people around and yet it was important that the person I was talking with not get distracted by the background noise in my office. For years, this product was the ONLY product I used or recommended. My last headset got old and eventually started falling apart so I bought a new one. Complete disappointment. I had also recommended it to a co-worker. They experienced the same disappointment. I even bought a second one to see if maybe the first experience was just a faulty product. It is clear that whatever hardware or software was being used in the past for the noise-cancelling mic is not longer being used. At $100-$150, this is not worth it. I get the same level of clarity and noise cancelling from a $30 set of simple headphones. I feel like I'm just out $150.I was not just a fan and user - but a champion of your product. I don't understand what happened where something about it was changed, but I can no longer recommend this product at anywhere near this price point.

I love this headset
Headsets are not created equal, and I have four requirements that make a headset good:Comfort - while this one looks uncomfortable, it is actually quite pleasant to wear - with, or without, glasses. I wear this headset daily for at least five or six hours and I forget that I'm wearing it a half hour in. The rubber earpiece sits on your ear, not in your ear.Connectivity and range - This one has typical BT range when paired with a phone, but I get a good 50 to 60 feet (even through walls) when connected via the dongle. Pro tip - If you one of these and one of the Poly Voyager Focus headsets, then you can pair both with the same dongle and use the two headsets interchangeably by just turning power off on the one you're not using. Useful if you use the Focus at your desk and the 5200 when walking around.Sound quality - This isn't suited for listening to music for the noise reduction is outstanding and the sound on the "other end" is just like talking directly into the phone. Because it only fits on one ear, it doesn't reduce external noise for you (hence the Poly Focus), but the microphone does a great job in reducing outside noise. I have a habit of walking around the house when talking on the phone and sometimes walk over to the sink or microwave. The folks on the other side hear none of those distractions. For comparison, I also have a Jabra Talk 45 (also a decent set) but every distracting noise is heard on the other side.Charging and battery life - Battery life is realistically about 5 hours of talk time. This is actual talking/listening time, not "powered on" time, so unless you spend a lot of time on the phone, this should last all day. I generally charge mine every two days or so. Charging is a bit tricky. The battery base, as a concept, is great, but putting the headset into the cradle and making sure that it is in properly is a bit fiddly at times and the blue charging lights aren't very visible. Opening the case and placing the headset inside works far more reliably. As a gadget junkie, I have far more peripherals than I need, and this is one of the few that I'm not planning on upgrading.
