Looks good but I was hoping for better
I have a sencut Kyril which I love. I was looking for a new knife and the aesthetics of the scitus caught my eye. The price was good and I was happy with my previous sencut purchase so why not. I received it a few days ago and I am current undecided if I will keep it or not. It still looks good in person but I expected it to be a little more robust. When I go to use the liner lock or grip the handle tight I can feel the liner flex a little. I really think it could benefit from a spacer. Additionally the deep carry clip is huge! In some grips it creates a small hotspot in my palm. Overall the blade profile is nice, it came decently sharp and the micarta scales are good. It just wasn’t the home run I was hoping for.

Expect unexpected 😨
For me, Sencut knifes are great EDC option. Optimal balance for quality and price. However, first day - first surprise. I will try other knifes at exactly the same location on the Columbia hiking pants pockets. Could be interesting challenge.

Understated Knife With A Beautiful Blade
The Scitus is an Ostap Hel design, same guy responsible for knives like the Metamorph, G Slip, and CIVIVI Foldis. The way that you can tell it's one of his is by this little cutout section by the flipper tab, most of his knives have that design feature. This is a full size knife with a good looking D2 blade just under 3.5" long that has my favorite type of finish on it, the gray stonewash. I like it because it gives the knife a weathered kind of vintage look. They did a great job on the factory edge, which is nice and even on both sides, that ends perfectly, as it should, right at the sharpening choil. It is a liner lock with plenty of access to the lock bar that has some jimping, which makes unlocking the blade pretty easy. The handle is just under 4.5" long at 4.45", which gives the Scitus an excellent blade to handle ratio. I've got enough room for a full 4 finger grip with my medium sized hand, there's even a little extra left over for those of you with larger hands. The overall design is slim with a very comfortable grip and no finger choil here, which you don't really need on this knife. The flipper tab has that scoop shape for your finger tip and when it's in the open position, you're able to get a grip that is so close to the blade for excellent control when cutting. We get some great opening action using the flipper that is very difficult to fail because of a well tuned detent. I like that they kept the size of the flipper fairly small, so there's less to get hung up on anything while it's is in your pocket. Unlike some flipper opening knives, that smaller tab means that you're able to use most of the sharpened edge when cutting on a flat surface, like a counter top. The closing action is also good because the blade is riding on a ceramic ball bearing pivot and drops shut with a few quick shakes. We do get a 2 position deep carry clip that is not only recessed into the scale, but they also used flat screws. That way there is absolutely nothing to get caught on when putting this in your pocket. It has open construction with just the one spacer and then a smaller one you can use to attach a lanyard. Both liners are skeletonized in an effort to keep that weight down. SENCUT did a great job because we're looking at about 3.19 oz, which is slightly less than an ounce per blade inch. That's impressive for a knife of this overall size measuring just over 8" at 8.02.I do like the Scitus, it has great action and just feels very well made. It's a full size knife with a blade that has enough reach to cut through an apple, yet folds up into a pretty compact little package. I don't usually carry knives in a shirt pocket, but you definitely could with this one if needed. It's perfect as an office carry, that's lightweight when clipped to a pair of dress pants and doesn't take up much room in pocket, so you barely notice it when it's with you.
