Grey Ottoman Storage Bed, Happy Beds Phoenix Stone Grey Wood Modern Bed - 4ft6 Double (135 x 190 cm) Frame Only

Very solid feeling/looking bed, bundles of space underneath. Not too difficult to put together* - not being of a very practical mind, and in a very tight space (about 18" to the sides and 3 feet at the end) it took me about three hours (making a couple of errors on the way!). The instructions are clear and the fixing parts properly labelled. A bargain at the price and would recommend to anyone requiring a bed with storage below.Delivery was one day outside the time window given when booked - the courier company is an independent firm local to the seller in the East Midlands and I assume they need to get a sufficient number of London orders together in order for it to be economical to send a truck down, and in the dead of August trade must be a little slower than usual. Once the order was ready to ship they were communicative and nice enough to deal with - I had a text directly from the driver to update on his arrival time.The pocket sprung mattress is reasonably firm so far. Looking forward to many happy sleeps on it!(* with one exception - the stage where you need to screwd the slatted base onto the piston arms either needs two people, or for the gas pistons to be taken out so it can be fixed on a flat surface, it is almost impossible to keep on a 45 degree slope without sliding and falling off! I'd suggest a modification to the instructions at that point)

I really like the quality of the bed. We have a large one and we bought this small one and it is very similar. The wood and structure are very compact and it looks very good quality. The color is very nice and the finishes are well done. I highly recommend the product if you are looking for something similar.

So I have quite mixed feelings about this bed - I decided to change the décor of the room from old manky pine to oak and loved the storage functionality so decided to go for this bed. It arrived well packed so no damage was done - there were a lot of boxed and huge amount of waste but no issue really and all got recycled.The assembly process was ok - not bad considering how many pieces there were but I found it quite easy and not even need to watch the video - the instructions included were sufficient to put it all together. All parts were included, nothing was missing and I had the job finished in few hours.The bed is pretty sturdy and the gas lifts etc works well as expected. The bed footboard does indeed have very sharp corners but no injuries so far. You cannot tell really that it's not a real wood, it looks good.My two niggles with this are as follows:- there is no base - not included in the package not even mentioned in the instructions so it looks like the small double does not come with the bottom and your things will sit on the floor. Ok - not a major issue for me personally.- the colour of the bed overall is a lot more orange than oak-looking, to me it does not look like anything oak. You can see how close it is in colour scheme next to my old pine bedside table. I've seen few of these online and was hoping it will be made of the lighter material but i ended up quite disappointed. I knew it was not made of real wood and that's ok but wanted it to look more oak than pine. Unless I change my mind and stick with pine, I will be selling this soon so it seems like a waste of money. Shame as it is a nice bed, just wish it was more oak than orange pine.The purchase process was good - the seller called me to discuss delivery and said they were very busy. They understood we were quite in rush to get this bed due to guests arriving so they expediated the delivery and met the communicated delivery date - they were super helpful and very pleasant to deal with. I haven't written a review yet, because I have only just got out of it!!! Seriously, it's that good!! When I purchased the bed, I did have a couple of reservations, due to reviews, mentioning assembly difficultly, and sturdiness. I will start with assembly, I am 71,my son,who helped me with it, 42. I stacked all the Cartons in numerical order, my son read the instructions, and I kid you not, it was ready to lie on in 45mins,with no arguments, and no sweat!!! As for sturdiness, again, no kidding whatsoever, two elephants, could mate on it, and you would still get a good night's sleep, and, not be on the floor come morning!! Also I must add, the storage amount is amazing! The compartments are 11" deep!! This Bed is amazing, and fantastic value, for the money!! Now I'm getting back in!!! Ooooh!! You

The media could not be loaded. Bought this bedframe and after only x3 years of use the frame bent. Contacted Seller, said only x1 year warranty and I had to purchase frame at half of price of what bed cost us. We paid money and when replacement frame arrived it was another version/design. Seller advising our frame is no longer being supported by manufacter and suggesting us to buy another bed with HappyBeds and trash/bin the one we have even knowing we only had for x3 years.Long story short, our bed had a defect/design and did not come with supporting legs for our frame, informed seller and brought to their attention and asked for them to go back to manufacturer for assistance instead of trashing a perfectly good bed as HappyBeds advise us as a solution.Not only did the seller (Happy Beds) ignored our request but flat out refused to assist us any further.I would suggest for any other customer in the past that also had this same issue to report Seller to Amazon as we did and write your review /experience so other buyers like ourselfs are aware that these people care nothing about customer care and only interested in money.Again, anyone who buys a bed expects it to last for at least the same amount of time as mattress at best. Again, big scam after all our findings, sure they know of fault/issue with designs due to amount of complains, however instead of supporting their customers, their solution and recommendation is ..."trash your bed and buy a new one"... 🤦 Yeah right ⚠️ Cheated me once IT'S NOT happening again ⛔
