I wanted to buy a tutorial book on how to create Manga characters for my Sister who is a very creative 47yr old lady. Being heavily involved within the Art and creativity circles myself, I'm fortunate to have the opportunity of speaking to a respected Manga and Anim Artist, who immediately advised this publication. It's only been less than a week since Christmas 2023 and my sister has already started reading the book and found it extremely helpful. Possibly one of the most useful books I've ever bought for her.

Very good for my first time

12 year old granddaughter loved this art book.

The media could not be loaded. What I like about this book is that it has large print and pictures. What I don't like is that it doesn't explain even the basics of the shape of a skull and how to draw it from the manga. It has very little Few options in drawing eyes and eyebrows. I bought this and another manga book for Hiroyuki Sengoku (manga university) which is much more comple. but this book covers several topics so it's good. I just wish there was more detail when drawing eyes or noses in other perspectives. I like that you give drawing tips on graphic tablet.

It’s really hard to find a good book to learn to draw such stuff. I’ve looked a lot for a book but this one has a good step by step.(At least in the beginning) I’ve skimmed through the other pages but I’m only on the eyes. It really helped me have a understanding of how to draw eyes.(first time drawing eyes too) but I think it’s def worth the buy. Especially how it goes into great detail about why something is done. Talks about the things that someone would never notice while drawing.

I am a teacher and bought this book to add to my art tutorial collection. My students all love Manga and this new addition was quickly spotted in the classroom, and was put to use right away.It is beautifully illustrated and very well explained which makes even the less talented artists feel successful. I particularly like how the artist shares variations of head shapes, eyes, mouths, etc. The creative opportunities are pretty much endless. I absolutely recommend!

This anime drawing book really delivers on its promises. It is very well structured and the step by step instructions are clear and understandable. You really notice that the author is an art teacher himself and knows what he is talking about. I also really like his drawing style. Highly recommend!

This is a great start for beginners on amine drawing I got it for my kids and they love it. I would like to see more eye movements and facial jesters but this was great and love it I recommend it
