HP Elitebook 840 G6 Refurb
My laptop arrived super quick, and packaged well. (I happened to meet the driver at my door, and it was starting to rain. I wonder if he would have left it out there in the rain?)My first impressions:1. I got what I ordered. 840 G6 with i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB NVMe drive.2. Laptop was "cleaned" with a dirty rag. Had a slight film on it with wipe marks, and smelled like a garage. (I cleaned it with a clean wipe).3. Had a few dead pixels on the screen. (I don't "notice" them anymore).4. Windows 10 pro was installed, OOBE was enabled, so it was fresh.5. Windows has genuine digital key, activated fine.6. Had some initial driver issues until I connected to internet. Then updated fine.7. Genuine 65W HP power adapter. Definitely used, but that's what I paid for.8. Has a single 16GB DDR4 RAM installed. I can upgrade to 32GB easily.9. Has a Samsung 512GB TLC NVMe M.2 2280 drive. (MZ-VLB5120) (L01431-002).10. Backlit keyboard.11. Fingerprint reader works with windows hello.12. All internal components where I could see dates codes were from 2019.13. Laptop was born on Jan. 19, 2021Working well so far. I'll try to update this later if it gives me any issues. So far I would recommend this laptop.Edit 23-4-17: Windows 11 pro installed without issue from Windows update (free).Edit 23-5-19: Laptop still working great. Have a slight issue waking from sleep mode on occasion. Sometimes I need to long is the power button and have it fully shut down, after sleep more, because the screen stays off.
