Great plastic welder
I've tried many tools for welding plastic and all failed the test of durability, this seem to work well so far with very little effort. The wire heats up rapidly, hold it onto the plastic to be welded and bingo job done. So far I'm loving it. Don't need to push the wire into the item to be welded too far and snip off the wire tails. Very easy! Haven't tried the melting plastic rods welding bit yet, that's where I've always come unstuck before - literally. It's too early to recommend yet but works well.

Surprisingly good
Bought this for three repairs. Currently only used it on an ABS part from a domestic appliance. It is actually under a bit of stress to refit this once repaired and it has worked absolutely fine.Everything appears to be good quality and there are plenty of various 'wires' and other accessories. Not sure if ABS was one of the filler rods supplied as I also ordered a separate pack of them. I may be wrong but be aware of this when ordering. Extremely easy to use, very happy.

It feels cheap but it works
The product works - it has little staples that get really hot, and when plunged into plastic act like a suture. There is also stainless steel mesh that you can embed into plastic - and that gives it real strength. It is cheep and a bit nasty but it does the job. It is worth the money. It does work - provided you flare the staples. I had a lot of trouble with the odd spatula like fitting that you use with the mesh - but figure out that you need to get some pliers on the connectors so they make good electrical contact. Once I figured this out it worked ok.In summery you get what you pay for - its not a quality tool but it works and it has got me out of some tight corners.(oh yes practice on some odd bits before you use it on the real job)

Good bit of kit
First time I used one of these, repaired a motorbike pannier luggage box on motorbike, was a tricky repair but is now solid. Got this one as it includes a number of accessories most useful of which is two smoothing blades
