Physicians Formula Eye Booster™ Lash Illusion Mascara Ultra Black

If you like Physician's Formula Duo tube with Volume and Length this is the Length side. I looked high and low to find a lengthening mascara and wanted one that was natural and gentle. I always ended up buying the Duo with both, and never used the volume side because of the fibers. But now I found the lengthening side in this one mascara and I love it.

I must say that it's my fault I thought that is was waterproof.

I bought this product and expected more from it, the brush comes out dry, only covering with a small amount only visible in half the brush.I have never had this experience with any mascara before.

The formula is drier than I prefer, didn't care for longevity either.

This is my first time trying Physicians Formula mascara. I use brands that cost twice the price of this product but lately my eyes have been irritated by my usual mascara so I thought I would give Physicians Formula a try. Right out of the tube I noticed the applicator has tapered bristles which grab all the lashes and gives the best lash definition. I have long eyelashes and sometimes have trouble getting the color to the tips of my lashes which are blonde. This mascara gave solid coverage from base to tip. It took me two coats on the top lashes and one coat on the bottom lashes to get the look I wanted. For me this was on par with my other mascaras. After wearing the Physicians Formula mascara for a day I had zero eye irritation which is why I purchased this product. I will use this as a daily mascara but continue looking for a more dramatic mascara for date night.

I love mascara - it makes ALL of the difference in the world. This mascara takes some "work" to get my lashes the length and thickness I like, but I'd rather have that than clumps. Hate the clumps. If you can be patient, what you end up with are longer, thicker (but naturally looking longer/thicker) lashes - and I'm on board for that. My favorite drugstore brand has been Lash Paradise, but lately I've been fighting the clumps (with a new tube) and it's beyond frustrating. I'll take buildable beautiful lashes any day.One caveat: It has that Pina colada smell that the butter bronzers have and it's weird to have that in a mascara. Why would they put a fragrance in a mascara? I don't need my eyes to smell. Docked one star for that. Would've been 5 otherwise! ~Amy

so some reviews said this is dry, I did not find my particular product to be dry at all but if you need to rehydrate mascara use a couple drops of contact solution in there and mix it around with the brush. Anyway, I like this formula, it applied easily, it was smooth and not clumpy, I did my typical application process where I apply the brush at my lash line and wiggle it up, I did 2 coats without issue over my loreal primer. I always use lash primer so i cant comment as to how this wears without it. I prefer thin mascara brushes and this one is thin. I do recommend it. It stayed on until the end of the day and I took it off with my usual double cleanse and it came off fine.

I would like the product to work and not be dried out😡
