Smart, tough, useful sailor’s gift
I’m very impressed with this knife, bought as a gift for an adult godchild who enjoys sailing.It’s reasonably large and beautifully made: it feels very sturdy. The large blade has a very good safety lock mechanism which means the knife couldn’t fold shut on your fingers when in use.I’m not a sailor so I can’t comment on the sailing usefulness of the various tools it includes, but it’s a quality object and I hope it will be very useful.Amazon’s price was significantly cheaper than online Victorinox retailers.Altogether, I am thrilled!

Useful collecting of tools
What is not generally realised this has a locking mechanism on the reverse side as shown which could affect its legal carry in the UK therefore I would advise buying its associated pouch then you can pass it off as a multi- tool. In that aspect I would prefer if the blade was not in any way pointed but rounded off, hence the loss of a star.

Reliable tool, top quality.
Absolutely sharp! A great tool I always carry on the yacht, nice size, good weight, secure locking system, easy to use. My crew mates comment how sharp it is with surprise and ask where I brought it, Amazon of course lol

Spring in pliers poorly designed
Just unboxed, I opened the miniature pliers (mini-wrench?) and found that the spring (S) fits poorly into the groove (G). In fact, it didn't fit at all until the spring was squeezed into a more accurate position. But it then slipped out again. Anyone else with this problem? It looks a really feeble design.
