ASUS Chromebook 14 CX1400CMA Full HD Chromebook (Intel Celeron N4020, 4GB RAM, 64GB eMMC, Google Chrome OS)

It took a couple of seconds to work out why this model is so cheap it was instended for the school market with a lower case keyboard and some software hints pointing to classroom use from what I can see. However, it is a well put together machine and simple to set up and use. Having other machines using different a operating system, but all using Chrome, they brought over the same interface to this Chromebook with no trouble. I nice computer with a reasonable display for a very low price tage.

Needed a laptop quickly whilst mine was being repaired and saw this, saw the price and reviews and bought it.Now I’m very happy with the laptop in general, the screen is clear and it’s heavy but not so you can’t carry it comfortably in a laptop case/bag, the layout is simple but nice and the start up speed you can’t complain about at all.However … what is so annoying to me is you don’t know if you’ve got capitals unless you type and then it took me to google just to find out how to type in capitals without holding the capitals key down continuously.There is no back light on the keypad either which is annoying and would of been cheap enough to add that feature.Finally .. and I don’t understand why but the screen measured diagonally corner to corner of the screen display (measured how they do in store) it comes to 16.4” not 17” as advertised and this I’m completely flummoxed over as this is a top brand and no matter what tape measure I used or who measured it for me it still came to 16.4” (my son made it 16.5) but nonetheless it isn’t 17” close enough not to complain or return though.All in all I’m happy to use this as a comfortable spare that’s easy to navigate and has all the basic functionality you need.

I bought this laptop Chromebook almost 6 months ago and simply love it's performance. From day one until now, the Chromebook loads to the logon screen (for ID) within a second or two and a second after completing that, the internet search screen appears and of course, searches are very fast.The laptop comes preloaded with Googles Sheets and Docs for free (equivalent to MS Excel and Word). Updates are automatic and simply require a reload and that takes just seconds.The sound level from the built in speakers is very good and sound quality is clear.The screen is a tad smaller than I was used to but I soon got used to that. The screen itself is clear and sharp and it can be angled up to 180 degrees back.Battery life is good also at 12 -14 hours depending on use.I have no hesitation in recommending this laptop as it provides excellent performance and value.

If you spend all your time on a web browser these are great, fully functioning Chrome browser... however if you are looking to download apps like you can on windows or MacBook these are not for you... if everything you want to do on a laptop can be done through a browser these are perfect for anything more go for windows a or Mac

This is my first time buying a bu on this website, and I would not like to meet I wanted to buy a new one and ordered it quickly without even reading it. It just turned off and didn't even turn on.I had to go back and buy the same new one. I want to say the seller depended on the price of such a bu I paid for a new one. The experience is bad, even if it depends on the guarantees It's not profitable to send it all the time to repair and you're left without it. Had this for about two months.Screen is nice and big. Screen is vivid and clear. Sound is quite loud, which is good.This Chromebook has a habit of randomly muting itself, with no obvious cause or remedy, but fixes itself after a restart.Any significant amount of time spent scrolling results in slowdown, to the point where videos struggle playing, but it's fine after restarting.Overall I enjoy this machine, considering the price, and have a great time watching movies on it, and using Google Docs.
