Mixing is easy with a shaker bottle
This product is cheaper than Metamucil (about 25% - 33% less per ounce, depending on price variations) and contains no extra ingredients. Metamucil has artificial colors, artificial flavors, and artificial sweeteners (Aspartame), among other things. That makes this a clear win in my book.It had no bad taste, as other reviewers had experienced. I had zero issues drinking it. Sure, it doesn't have the citrus taste of Metamucil but I found that I did not miss it. Obviously taste is highly personal, so your mileage may vary but don't believe every review that says they had to choke back their gag reflex or whatever.I read the reviews before buying and a lot of people had trouble mixing the fine powder. I'm here to tell you that it's 2023 and if you're trying to stir a powdered drink mix in a glass with a spoon you're doing it wrong. Get a shaker bottle, which is designed for this. It has a small metal wire mesh ball that acts as a whisk, and a tight fitting lid that won't leak. You get a perfect mix with absolutely no clumps in 10 seconds, and there's no blender to drag out and clean afterwards. You can drink from the shaker bottle so there isn't even a second cup to wash. I recommend the BlenderBottle 20oz, it costs $9 and is perfect. The ASIN is B07TL6PNLH, type that into the search to go right to it.Like all powders that come in a bag I recommend transferring the contents to a different air-tight container for daily use. I wouldn't want to fight the built-in Ziploc seal on a regular basis, although I have to say the one on this product is not as horrible as some of the others I've experienced. Still, a nice glass jar with latching lid is much more pleasant on the hands to deal with regularly.Tip: I really like a 1/4 cup (60 mL) scoop for transferring these fine powders between containers. It's large enough that you can get a good amount (especially with a heaping scoop) but small enough that it will still fit into the mouth of whatever container you're transferring to. It's much easier than trying to pour the powder out of the Ziploc bag, getting it caught in the Ziplock groove, etc. Pick up a cheap set of kitchen scoops if you don't have any, they really come in clutch.

Great Benefits and Real Fiber Boost
This is my "go to" brand for psyllium husk supplements. I use this to help control my insulin sensitivity and cholesterol levels. It works great. Much better that some other brands I've tried. Some of which don't even gel in water. A sure sing of low fiber content. This actually gels properly in water and provides a significant dose of soluble fiber. My gut's happy, my blood's happy, and my doctor's happy. And the quality can't be beat at this price point. Buy in bulk.

Good value, does a great job, horrible taste
This product does exactly what it's suppose to do. The value is very good and worth it. The taste however is VERY bad, you will need to mix this with other drinks or food. It makes the drink thick and smell bad, also do not mix with ice. I think all products like this will have this problem so I gave a 4 star bc it's just the nature of the product.

Quality Product
Good psyllium. It does that instant sludge thing in water that good psyllium should. For easy mixing use a coffee type had frother, saves unmixed powder at the bottom. The instructions say a serving is 3 scoops. It comes with the scoop. The scoop is one US teaspoon. So a tablespoon works here too.As far as flavor...well, be honest, psyllium just doesn't taste all that good mixed in water. It is not bad in orange juice. And this product tastes pretty much as usual. I have had batches from other vendors that tasted really horrible.I also mix some in water with canned cat food for our cats. Helps with hairballs and constipation if they aren't drinking enough water.

Powder is too fine and not as good as other psyllium husk
I couldn't get the powder to dissolve properly until I got the recommended shake bottle with the metal whisk. (Don't try the olive oil method - it just makes the powder into a solid blob.)In terms of its performance, this powder doesn't have the same effect as the NOW Foods Whole Psyllium Husks. I bought this brand because it had more but it's not worth it. It's a little less unpleasant to drink but you need to ingest twice as much as the NOW Foods version to get the desired results.

Consistently as expected
I've gotten this a few times and it is consistently as expected. The ziploc on the bag can wear out, but you just use a clip.

I don't know if this really is psyllium husk.
100% did NOT like this brand. I used half of the 3 pound bag, never worked like psyllium husk would, does not feel or react like I have ANY fiber in my system. I have been using various brands of psyllium husk for over 20 years, waaaay before it became trendy. I have never had any issue with any brand. I am throwing out the 2nd half of my 3lb bag. I feel like I am just drinking saw dust, did NOTHING for me. using other brands I own currently, working like a charm.
