Perfect for hot and cold sack
This sand is perfect for heat sacks. It warms up in 2 minutes in microwave and stays warm for atleast 15 minutes. It is nice for cold too. Especially since it is nor too cold on your skin.

Leaks right through material
I was so excited to make a microwave warming pad…. Bought soft flannel material bought this Java sand $$$$$ thought I was all set… The Java sand oozed right thru the fabric, and this fabric is not porous. I had sand dust from one end of my room to the next…. What a mess…. Think twice before using this product as a filler for heat pads.

I used it for a heating pad. It adds a bit of weight and stays warm longer. It’s difficult to sew with because it is so fine
