hoping the product is as good as the service - haven't used it on my kayak yet but it seems really sturdy, quality construction and the suction is awesome.

I think you can split this review into two parts, one for the suction cup and the arm. The suction cup is very good. I've tried a few other types (including a triple cup mount) and have never been completely confident in the mount and have always used a tether as a just in case. this mount though has a really firm grip. Make sure the surface is dry when you put it on and it should stay in place. I've tested it on a car door and the boot lid along some bumpy side roads and smoother A roads at speeds upto 60mph and the results were excellent.The arm is fine if the mount is used in a place where it will be static. If mounted in or on a car there is too much vibration or movement with the GoPro in place.I use a male/male adapter and mount the tripod adapter straight to the suction cup.With the addition of some of the other small arms that come with the GoPro you have a very stable mount that will give good stable results.Overall a good value mount that you can be confident in staying where you put it.

Very strong suction cup, a little bit of vibration when driving at speed due to the elacticity of the bendy arm. Good for intended use as I mounted a CB radio to the dash.

used this on holiday its excellent quality, as are all Joby products got some great shots from unusual anglesjust make sure the surface is clean and smooth!

Have had a few variants of this, Jobi is a serious winner with excellent flexibility, great suction and ease of use. Other items available to accessorise.If you are using for a Sony Action Cam - buy the Suction cup with phone grip mount - it is a third of price and will do the job exactly the same....I am using a Sony so the GoPro attachment was not necessary but this works like a dream

Doesn't stick to surface of kayak

This is a mixed review - I bought this for in car use as the design gives me more flexibility in regards to camera angles when filming in car. The product itself is good and it provides a strong sucion with a simple twist of the red disc. However, although the mount was attached to the windscreen securely, vibrations caused the mount to shake like mad and although the footage came out better than expected, it was still VERY shaky in some areas of the video.Therefore I had to ditch this and go back to my orginal official GoPro mount which has been faultless for me so far. I would recommend this mount as I think it's a good product, but it's probably best used on still object or something which produces less vibrations. I may keep the mount, I may not. Not sure what to do as it does give me more flexibility, but if the footage is shaky, I suppose there is no point.... Shame, this could have been the perfect mount...

You're pretty much limited to glass, but it works quite well. You can get it to stick on very flat surfaces and it will work, but wood or metal doesn't always seem to hold for the entirety of a timelapse etc. It's definitely a good product to have, but a Clamp is a lot more versatile.

Likes:Build. Well built. Haven't tested in winter. I will update my review if it doesn't hold up.Very easy to stick and remove in your windshield.Dislikes:Shipping. Quite long. Took about almost a week before it arrived.Parts missing. The screw/bolts that will hold up the GoPro and this mounting system is not included or missing.Conclusion:This is a well-known brand so I expect only the best. So far the product lives to my expectations so highly recommended. Also, I'm not sure if the screw/bolts is missing or not included because I didn't see it in the package. I expect this ready to use out of the box. Good thing I have spare.

I recently bought a GoPRO to film some of my son's ice hockey games. I needed a way to mount the camera, so I got a multi-pack of attachments. (50 in 1). In the box was a suction attachment that in theory would work as the glass around the rink is smooth. The first time I used it the suction held for about 5 minutes, then lost suction and the camera fell to the ground. I tried wetting, pressing hard but no matter what, the suction did not last for more than 5 mins. I saw others using the JOBY and laughed at me as they had none of these issues. So I bought one as my son was having a 6 game tournament, and figured I could return it if it did not work. I filmed every game, 5-6 hours, without any problem. Worked like a champ!!!

Ich bin total begeistert von dem Joby Suction Cup mit dem GorillaPod Arm. Ich benutze diese Lösung für Flüge in einer Cessna. Es hält trotz der teils starken Vibrationen bei Landungen und während des Fluges sicher und liefert verwacklungsfreie Bilder. Auf Grund der trotzdem gegegebenen Flexibilität kann ich mit einer Kamera die Perspektive auch während des Fluges ändern!! Auch der Saugnapf ist das Beste und Einfachste, was ich bisher benutzt und getestet habe. Besser als der GoPro-Saugnapf. Cooles Produkt. Die Haltbarkeit ist bauartbedingt wahrscheinlich nicht so lang. Hatte sie jetzt auf ca. 10 Stunden Flug mit. Bisher ohne Einschränkungen. Kaufempfehlung.
