First time
This is a great item to practice on when it's your first time soldering. Simple instructions.

Don't need instructions
This went together really well. It was good practice because it has few components, but many big soldering points. In the end you make a fun little widget "colorbuilder"The end product could be a good tool for an artist, like a jeweler or designer, or one who needs access to a color spectrum for conceptualizing ideas.

Easy practice soldering board.
Easy practice soldering board. My boy enjoyed working on it and liked that he had a small working project whe. Finished. I wish this ran off of a battery instead of a usb power supply.

Easy to assemble. Really would make a good first project.
There were not any instructions for this. Which would help a complete beginner. Otherwise really simple to assemble. Four components, three of which can only be placed one way. Only component that would give a complete beginner any issues would be the light. But if you pay attention on the board it tells you where the negative pin goes. It's the one that isn't like the others. The USB power cable is pretty easy to source. Probably have a couple in the house already.

This is a good starter soldering kit
We had issues with an AM radio kit and decided to dial the difficulty level back a bit. Glad we tried this; it worked well and kept the inspiration flowing.

Disappointed.
As simple as this was to put together, it did not work... I wanted to order a set of them for a makerspace activity, but if I need to buy multiple kits for each person, in case it doesn't work... this is a no go. Disappointed.

Great easy starter kit
Fun and easy kit that is fast in putting together. Kids love adjusting and mixing to explore and see different colors they can make.

Kind of disappointed...
I was kind of excited to get this little gadget because I have always been fascinated by the fact that you can 'combine' red, green and blue light and end up with white light. I assembled the little gadget and plugged it in. The red and blue LED's work just fine, but the green LED does not light. Kind of a letdown. I realize that in electronics, there are the occasional defective component, so I don't hold any bad feelings toward the seller. I was actually pretty impressed by the overall quality of the PCB and the other parts. It is a well built little device. I just happened to get that one defective part... luck of the draw, I guess. Don't let this review keep you from buying one for yourself, like I said, I just happened to get the one with a defective part. I still want to see the thing work like it is supposed to, so I'm actually going to order another one! Have a great day y'all!
